The Simpson's Fbct Bday Cake
I've taken to doing my FBCT's thinner on the edge so I can mold the side down to the base level of frosting. I build up behind the image how ever much I want it to look "3D" as I'm making them. Then I have the wax paper folded over the sides of the cake board that I'm piping it onto to place it onto the cake to keep it from bending/cracking (since it's so much thinner than a traditional FBCT). I really like the puffy effect and it keeps the cake images cleaner IMO.

Fondant Flower Class Cake
This is the cake I made for our first "project" for the wilton fondant flowers course. I thought it was just going to be making flowers, but we were supposed to cover a board in fondant and then the cake and put it on top. I've never done a board w/fondant. It was kind of fun. I added royal icing flowers to finish the look because we have not done the fondant flowers yet (and it looked undone w/out flowers).

Daisies And Stripes Tiered Cake
I saw this in the wilton tiered cakes book, but the daisies were made out of fondant. I did mine out of royal icing. The stripes are done with frosting rather than fondant as well. The topper didn't make it to the event, but nobody seemed to care there wasn't one there. I did this cake for my daughter's Color Guard Banquet/year end event last night. The girls loved it.

Chocolate Cup Cakes With Candy Liners
I saw these in the new wilton cup cake book & wanted to give them a try. Made these for the teacher's appreciation week. Liners are made from candy melts. Royal icing Daisies. Discovered the trick is to bake your cup cakes first. Then melt the candy in the cup cake liners, spread it up the sides then place the cooled cup cake into the candy liner & put it back into the baking pan to firm up. After it's cooled, peel off the paper and decorate. Looks much more impressive IRL. My husband was even impressed.

Easter Bunny Cup Cakes
I saw these in the new Wilton cup cake book, but the candy corn is off season (to make carrots) so I used the spekled robin eggs and jelly beans instead. My youngest daughter wanted hers with the Jelly Beans and my son voted for the robin eggs. They turned out pretty cute and were fairly easy to make. the bunny heads are MMF with royal icing faces (except the cheeks which are also MMF).

Cup Cake "fountain Drinks"
Here are the cup cakes I made to go with the movie photo reel cake for my daughter's birthday party yesterday. My almost 6 y/o went up to grab one to drink, so I guess they turned out pretty good! The liners are a pain to fill, but the pan works really well! (the new "deeper" cup cake pan Wilton just came out with).

Movie Photo Reel Birthday Cake
This is the cake I made for my daughter's 14th bday party yesterday. I edited out our last name on the MMF sign on top of the cake and edited out her face on all the images, but it basically had edible images from birth to this year around the cake. Trying to make it look like a roll of film. Also did cup cakes to look like fountain drinks. I'll try to upload those later.

"cheeseburger" Cakes With Sugar Cookie "fries"
OK, I'm getting a bit better. The lettuce on these is actually MMF that I hardened a bit (drying overnight in the oven w/just the light on). Cheese is MMF also. Fries are sugar cookies. I should've used a bigger tip for the "ketchup" and such, but otherwise, I think it turned out pretty good. These are for my friends superbowl party this afternoon. Close up coming next.

Kitty In A Flower Basket Birthday Cake
This did not turn out as well as I had hoped, but my daughter thinks it looks ok, so I decided to go ahead and post it. I guess I was hoping I could get the kitty more realistic looking than that. This is for my best friends daughter's 10th birthday party today. Flowers are all royal icing. Cat was from a 3D cat pan I purchased online.

Sweet 16 Birthday Cake
Here is the final results for my niece's sweet 16 birthday cake. The top is a bit messy on the side until I came up with a pattern for it, but I don't think anyone really noticed. She REFUSED to have the cake top cut. Everyone had to eat the lower two layers and she saved that. Flowers and letters/numbers are royal icing and butterfly's are rice paper w/royal icing bodies. Close up being posted next.

Guitar Birthday Cake
another attempt at making a carved cake. One of my dtr's friends wanted a guitar cake for her birthday, which I figured would be easy since I have the shaped pan for one. Then found out later, she wanted this specific guitar. So I had an edible image made once I got a decent image of the front of the guitar and then cut it to remove the non-imaged portion. I tried to carve the cake to the same size, but apparently, I was off a bit. So I put a border around the guitar image part. She was very happy with it.

Tweety Holiday Cake - Fbct
Another cake with a FBCT. I've taken to making the edges thinner so I can push the outline flush with the frosting on the cake. Makes it look more 3D and much nicer IMO than with a border around the FBCT. I did the outline a tad fatter than I should've (used a #3 and obviously should've used a #2) but if you don't look close, it doesn't look to bad. Now, if only I could get the wilton spray color not to glob up like that.

Cheese Dip Igloo With Olive Penguins
I saw this on the Wilton site and thought it'd be fun to do for my two family get togethers this year. I used the softball pan to make it a more reasonable size (didn't need 80 servings). the pesto leaks though, so I put matzarella cheese on the plate to hide the leak and cover the design on the plate. The Olive Penguins were really easy to make. And everyone just loved the presentation.

Gingerbread House - Front View
This is what I got done of my gingerbread house for this year. Hopefully, next year, I'll have more time to work on one since my youngest will start Kindy. I didn't get a chance to do tree's, santa's sleigh on the roof etc,. The house is gingerbread with Leggo Candies bricked in with royal icing mortar. Santa and snowmen are marshmallow (purchased). The bears on the front plantars I did make out of fondant. A couple other views to follow.

Candy Mice
The original mice directions/photos were posted by Dale last year some time. I still think these are the greatest thing ever! I just got done making 75 of these things for my husband's office. Marishino Cherries w/stems on, dipped in chocolate, hershey kiss for the head, almond slivers for the ears. Red food jell for the eyes, and a bit of "holly" made with frosting on the oreo cookie base. A definite conversation starter for any party!

Turkey Sugar Cookies On A Stick
Turkey is done in royal icing with the leaf tip for the feathers. I saw a cake similar to this design on here (can't remember where, but thank you to the person who gave me the inspiration for this) and I adjusted the design. I made 3 dozen for my son's kindy class and a few for my older kids to take for their friends. They were a pretty big hit too.

Dora Birthday Cake Trio
My youngest wanted a Dora party for her 4th birthday & also wanted a princess party. So we did a Dora Princess theme. I used the 3-in-one cake stand and put it together backwards (large cake on top) and did a castle bunt cake for a "castle in the sky" cake. The second (middle) cake is the giant butterfly garden. Royal icing flowers w/rice paper buttefly's. The first (small) cake is where Dora and her friends begin the adventure to get the candy presents to the party at the castle in the sky. Close ups next.

Fondant Presents Cake
My daughter wanted a Bratz theme party, and this was the cake she picked out of the wilton book. I made 27 fondant presents, all different. ANd I thought that would be enough to wrap totally around, but it had spaces anyway. I think it turned out ok though (and she was very happy with it).
