Double Cheeseburger Cake
One of the guys at my husbands office asked when I was going to do one of those infamous burger cakes (my first one was really not that good compaired to this one). So I put this together. I'm really happy w/how it came out except for the bun. Just does not look quite right to me. However, it seems to be a huge hit with the guys. I'll post a close up shot of the burger/condiments in a sec. Chocolate frosting on the burgers. Fondant for cheese. The rest is BC frosting.

Flower Shower Cake
This is a cake I did for a baby shower today, but it looks (to me) more like a bridal shower type cake, so I put it in this folder. This cake was based on the one in Wilton's fondant book. It was a lot easier to put together than I thought it would be. It's a bit droopy on the sides, but I guess I'm the only one who noticed. The colors on the cake match the party decor.

Carved Baby Dragon Cake
Someone posted a link to the directions for this cake, and I just wanted to see if I could do it. I didn't get a chance to put the spikes in the back, and I thought it needed more character, so I did the scales using MMF (which is why I didn't have time to make the spikes). I sent it to work with my husband and had to have it done by 3PM yesterday or I'd be stuck with it all weekend (and no fridge space). It was fun to make though time consuming. Close up of face coming in a few minutes.

Thomas Birthday Cake
For my son's 5th bday party (yesterday) his cake request was "Thomas, lots of flowers and 5 butterfly's" (this was his 5th bday). So this is what I came up with. Base cake is the horse shoe pan so I could have the size cake we needed for the base cakes, but not a lot of extra cake. Thomas is using the train pan, but doing a bit of carving on the front. His face is just molded buttercream. Butterfly's are made from rice paper w/ royal icing body. I'll post a close up in a few minutes.

Tweety Cup Cake Cake
This is my very first cup cake cake. It was so fun to do too! Tweety is a FBCT. Instead of building up around or under the image (as I have done in the past and the directions say to do) I decided to push the image into the base frosting when it was still frozen and then press the sides down to make the outline look like it's flush with the cake after I pulled the wax paper off. I'm really liking how it came out! I'll post a close up of Tweety in a sec.

Superman Sheet Cake
i had originally planned to do an edible image on this cake, but the image ripped to shreds last night trying to get it off the paper. 1st time that happened to me. Didn't have time to get another one. Fortunately, my friend gives me creative freedom w/the cakes I do for her, so I did a FBCT instead. I didn't have the frosting totally smooth since I didn't plan on it showing and it crusted up before I figured out WTH I was going to do,so it's a bit messy, but I think he'll be happy w/it (he's going to be 5)

Superman In Reverse World....
I did this character cake for a cake walk today. I was working on two cakes (one for a boy, one for a girl) and did this one as a FBCT. The inserts on the pans work great for this, but the S was not in reverse on the insert, so it ended up that way on the cake. And as tired as I was, I really did not even notice until I uploaded the photos an hour ago. My bestfriend joked and told me superman should not get dressed in the dark. Hopefully, nobody will mind since they are donated cakes....

Patriotic Butterfly Basket Cake
I wanted to do something fun for the 4th, so I made this cake for my husband to take to his office. They have not cut it yet, so I don't have any photos of the inside yet. the cake layers are red, white and blue as well. Everything is edible. The butterfly's are rice paper and royal icing bodies. Royal icing flowers.

Under The Sea Cake
This is a cake I made for my daughter's year end party at school today. They had a beach party theme, but I like doing underwater scene's better (Wylan is my favorite style), so I did a small beach and the rest under the sea. The fish/dolphins/shells/star fish, etc are made of MMF. The sea weed and sea anenomie's are royal icing. I tried for a wave effect on the bottom border. The sand is brown sugar. Oh, and the sun is MMF with Royal icing for the main part of the body and face.

Softball Team Party Cake
Here's the softball team party cake I just finished. The ball is not as good as I'd have liked. The frosting fell off the bottom while I was working on the top. Guess I had an air bubble in there. Probably should've let it set up more before flipping it over. Anway, a little first aide and it seems to be ok (but droopy). The base cake I decided not to put grass in the outfield since I really didn't have much of a right field in there. My daughter is happy with it, so that's all that matters. Front View here

Book Cakes With Precious Moments
These are cakes I made for my girls last day of religious education classes for this year. They are both FBCT's and are pretty much the same. The first one I didn't think to spray the sky and grass till after I had the transfer on there, which is why it's a tad more on the messy side. The girls are totally happy with them though, and that's all that counts, right?

Girl Scout Birthday Cake
March 12 is the BDay of Girl Scouts in the US. So we are having a cake at our meeting to celebrate (we only meet every other week, so we didn't get a chance to do it last week when it really was). I'm really loving these edible images. It was quite a bit smaller than the cake top, so I had to improvise with the cake sprinkles to cover the open space. I think it turned out pretty good though. Seems it never fails the unsmooth side of the cake is always facing the front. Ooops.

Audubon Cake (Second Of Two)
This is the second cake I'm donating to the Audubon for their camp reunion party. The other cake was chocolate, this one is white (which is why there are two). The images are actually from the mosaic they will be unveiling for the kids/families. The kids built the mosaics over the summer last year and they are finially getting it installed now. I can't wait to see their faces when they see the images on the cake are the same.

Audubon Cake (First Of Two)
I'm donating two cakes to our local Audubon chapter for their camp reunion party tomorrow. This is the first of the two. Edible image. I didn't get it centered quite right, so I made a rather large rope boarder around it to make it look more natural. Outlined the actual image with a #2 first.
