Mini Cakes (With Scriptures)
I made these to raise money for an African Children's Choir that visited our town for a concert. The cakes are mud cake covered in sugarpaste. I also made the flowers from flower paste.

These are so beautiful. How big are the cakes?
Wow, thank you all for your comments. The cakes are about 3" x 3.5" and yes it did take me a long time to make. This is the first time I have decorated such small cakes. I had a lot of trouble trying to get rid of the excess icing and getting a smooth finish. I am new to fondant and this is the second time I have covered a square shaped cake, its not as easy as I thought. But I am happy with the way they turned out.
Simply Beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful. If I may ask, how did you get the covering so smooth?
mom2ty, I just smoothed with my hand and then a fondant smoother. If the sponge is very flat it helps give that smooth finish.
what size are these beautiful creations, i am looking to do something similar for a baby shower
These cakes are about 3"x3.5" big.
How did you get those to that size? I have to make some in 2 weeks. So did you have a cake pan for it?
bitttytw25, I made a large slab (13"x11") and cut it into smaller squares. I think I got 12 out of one slab.
so beautiful. i bet they were a big hit!
