Mini Cakes (With Scriptures)

I made these to raise money for an African Children's Choir that visited our town for a concert. The cakes are mud cake covered in sugarpaste. I also made the flowers from flower paste.

Wow, thank you all for your comments. The cakes are about 3" x 3.5" and yes it did take me a long time to make. This is the first time I have decorated such small cakes. I had a lot of trouble trying to get rid of the excess icing and getting a smooth finish. I am new to fondant and this is the second time I have covered a square shaped cake, its not as easy as I thought. But I am happy with the way they turned out.

mom2ty, I just smoothed with my hand and then a fondant smoother. If the sponge is very flat it helps give that smooth finish.

bitttytw25, I made a large slab (13"x11") and cut it into smaller squares. I think I got 12 out of one slab.
