5 Yr. Old's Birthday

Ok, so, this is my humble attempt/interpretation of a Colette Peters design. Hand-carved 12¨ round white chocolate cake with raspberry chambord filling, covered in MMF, with MMF and RI accents with hand-rolled pearls. Whole cake is covered in a mixture of red pearl and super pearl luster dust. This was not from one of her books that I know of, but from one tier of her Bah mitzvah cake on her website. As always, thank you for looking! º

Breath taking!!! My niece is having a princess party and I'd like to use it. Thanks for posting. Did you carve the cake after it was filled. What cake is good for carving!!!

Thank you! I carved it after it was filled, and the denser the cake, the better. I used a normal white cake recipe, and then added chopped white chocolate. Once cooled, it made it dense enough to carve. :)

Wow! Thank you for the compliments! I got the color accidentally - I started off with orchid pink, and didn't like the way it looked, so I painted over it with silver - I love the way the final color came out.

I must say your "humble" attempt has the most unhumble, gorgeous results. Just as good as Collete Peters. I know her designs. You outdid yourself. :D 8O ;-D

love it, amazing, i don't think I would be able to carve each side so evenly. Definitely going to the favorites.

Sensational cake! I wonder if one could use a bundt pan and avoid the carving?? Also, I'm a newcomer to the site -- what is MMF? Regular rolled fondant?
