So Where Did The Island Go?! Lost Is Back!!!!!!

I'm still confused when I watch this show but I love it and am sad it's coming to an end. I bet it will be one whopper of an ending. So was the kid talking about Locke or Sawyer when he said, you can't kill him. Kate's name was not on the ceiling in the cave, either, or at least it wasn't shown. We are getting straight episodes until the end, correct or did they promise just all new when they did air?
Oh no, this thread has died! I haven't been on in quite some time, and was able to check CC this morning.
This season has been AWESOME. I loved the Jack episode, "Lighthouse," I think it's my favorite so far. Last week's "Dr. Linus" was amazing too! I didn't care too much for last night's, but maybe because I'm not a huge Sawyer fan. Especially seeing him with CHARLOTTE. Yuck. Funny that he and Miles are partners on the police force, considering last season when they were working for Dharma. Very cool ![]()
So... Widmore and Ben are essentially on the same team? How sweet is that? Gonna love to see how that plays out.
Team Jacob all the way! (no, not THAT Team Jacob...
)
Was last's night's episode not EPIC?!?
Best episode of the season so far! Woooo, the pieces are starting to fall into place.
Little do they know, they've been on a peninsula...
Ha, like that episode of I Love Lucy where they were on the other side of the island from a resort hotel ![]()
The last episode featuring Richard/Ricardo was awesome. I love how they are answering many of the questions that have popped up over the seasons. Its all starting to come together, but it will be sad to see it end.
I'm beginning to wonder if Jacob is really the evil one? I haven't read any blogs or anything regarding this subject, so I don't know if there is definitive proof of him being good/evil.
Smocke is just creeping me out lately. Though I used to love Locke's character, I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that that isn't really Locke, but the Man in Black (any one read Stephen King's the Gunslinger? Kinda makes me wonder if there is a similar connection to his Man in Black).
Only 6 more to go........ ![]()

I've read some people's theories about Jacob being evil. But I don't like them, just because I like Jacob and don't want him to be bad! And I never have really cared for Locke, so I want hime to be the evil one.
I loved the scene last week when Widmore gave Jin the pics of Ji Yeon on it. So touching!
YAY! Des is back! And he's gonna be madder than a wet hen that he's been kidnapped, and taken to the island against his will. I hope He, Penny and Charlie have their happy ending, but I'm guessing they won't, since we've already had 2 'reunions' of Desmond and Penny. (Over the phone, in "The Constant"-best episode ever- and on Penny's boat in the season 4 finale.
Happy LOST Tuesday!!!
Cakes22- I love you quote in your signature. The Office is my 2nd fave show! My favorite Michael Scott saying is, "My how the turn tables..." I say that ALL the time. Oh, and "I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious." Ha!
given that MIB-Locke is evil (witness his profligate killing)
and that Jacob is "the cork"
might we pull a twist on Garden of Eden analogy....
were MIB-Locke is the original evil that corrupted "paradise/Garden of Eden"
and after banishment of humans (all who live outside the island)
there was an angel (Jacob) placed to keep people out and evil in?
I llllllovvvvveeeeeeeeddddddddd that episode!!! I have always liked Desmond (like a brotha). And it was so good to see Charlie and Daniel again. ![]()
It was a little predictable at times (like Eloise was going to be married to Charles and Daniel was their son) but the fact that we were given hints/clues to the future of the show thru past episodes makes it more interesting.
I love how everyone is being brought forward in one way or another. The limo driver was on the "not penny's ship".
And when the car crashed into the water and Charlie held up his hand with "not Penny's ship" written on it like from when he drowned, I got goosebumps.
Loose ends are slowly being tied!!!
Hiya Bigsis: the Office is my 2nd fave show too. Love Michael Scott!!! He is such a twit. My fave qoutes:
I love inside jokes. I'd love to be a part of one someday
When I discovered YouTube, I didn't work for five days. I did nothing. I viewed cookie monster sings chocolate rain about 1,000 times
We are all participating in mandatory fun activities. Funtivities!
Haha cakes, I love it! 'Twit' is the perfect word to describe him lol...
I have been lovin these past few episodes, particularly the Desmond one. Freaking brilliant. It was soooooo good to see Faraday again, he is so awesome. Everything about that episode was amazing, how the two timelines are starting to blend.
And we saw LIBBY again! So glad she and Hurley were finally able to have their picnic on the beach <3
They just keep getting better! Only 4 more episodes until the finale... I both can't wait, and don't want it to end.
I'm thinking of making a finale cake, if I have the time. I could have WAY to much fun with that! DH thinks I should just make a black/white cake with L O S T written on it, but that is way to simple for something of this magnitude, lol.
What am I gonna do when this is all over?? - AHH! Gotta save up some cake $ so I can buy the complete box set this summer ![]()
Wahhhhhhhhh............I can't believe that Jin & Sun are gone!!!!! ![]()
![]()
Not too upset over Sayid being blown up (if that did kill him) cause he wasn't the "nice" Sayid.
Smocke is pure evil. And its up to the good "Sheppard" to wage the war against evil......
Only a couple of more episodes left. Can't wait but I don't want it to end. ![]()

Happy (or sad?) LOST Sunday! It's the last LOST day. Ever. *tear*
My LOST cake was on Sunday Sweets cakewrecks today! It's the one with the chocolate transfer people.
Yeah. I'm still not sure how I feel about this.
And today is my birthday. What a great present.
Star Trek Voyager did the same thing to me on my birthday.
Wow, Costumeczar, your cake was AWESOME. Those transfers came out perfectly, that had to take a loooooong time.
I have to find my camera cord so I can load a pic of the cake I made for the finale.
My brain for real hurt last night. I don't know if I'm happy or not with the ending yet. My brain still needs to process a LOT. This sounds so utterly pathetic, but I actually feel empty inside today. I couldn't fall asleep for a long time, my brain was going like 100mph.
Farewell Lost, my beloved friend.
*sigh*
Hey All, Can't believe it's over!!
I came to check out the thread to see what your theories are...but there aren't any up yet!!
I loved the ending...i think!
I was so afraid that Jack was going to have been the only one who died....when he wasn't I was happy. I thought the way they each connected with someone to make them remember was absolutely beautiful. Very touching....
My big question mark is how the flash sideways "life" connects with them all being "dead"....was that their journey to the other side? Was Ben staying outside because he was still alive, or because he wasn't going to make it to heaven? I'm still very confused! LOL!!
I think that everything happened while they were alive except the flash sideways, which was basically a purgatory-type situation. Once they found the people they loved , or decided that they were ready to let go (the wheelchair) they were ready to cross over. They were all kind of waiting there for each other before they could cross over together because those were the people who meant the most to them in life. Ben wasn't ready to let go yet, so he didn't cross over, but Hurley's comment to him about being a good number two shows that they had worked together on the Island for a while. The flash-sideways was kind of a holding area, where they all waited until they found each other and were ready to let go of the past. They might have died at different times, but they needed to cross over together. Ben not going with the others shows that there's still free will and not everything is preordained.
That was kind of rambling, but you get my point, right?
Thanks costumeczar! That was what was rambling around in my brain, but I wasn't able to put it into words or even organize it enough in my head to make sense of it! LOL!! Honestly, after thinking about it for the better part of today, I don't think I could have imagined a better ending!
I'm especially relieved it didn't turn out to be a dream sequence, or a video game, as I read on one site.....
It wasn't what I expected but I loved it. Lots of questions unanswered but then it wouldn't be Lost to leave us with everythng explained. It's up for interpretation.Tears for the last 20 minutes. Hated to see Jack die but I suppose that was coming. So happy to see Vincent back! I loved that he let go and was able to come full circle and do a 180 to find peace.
I 100% agree with you guys. I was really worried about how they were going to 'reunite' the two timelines, but it was done beautifully. When Jack asked his dad, "How are you here?" and Christian asked Jack the same question, I was so shocked. All at once I realized what was going on (well, kinda. lol) And the absolute silence during that scene was brilliant. It made you really pay attention. Anyway, it was THE perfect ending. It's fun to think about how everyone could've lived their life after Jack's death. Like Hurley and Ben's reign of the island, and all those that got off on the Ajira plane. (Btw, duct tape fixed that thing?! LOL!)
Something I caught on my second watch of the episode: Remember when Juliet was dying in the first episode this season? She woke up, and obviously we saw the "Let's go dutch for coffee" line, but the first thing she said was "It worked." So we all took that to mean that the bomb had worked. And somehow she knew. But what she REALLY meant was, unplugging and plugging the vending machine, she said "It worked." That was AWESOME. Just a little somethin I thought was cool ![]()
All the montages when people 'remembered' were amazing. So emotional. Especially Claire/Kate/Charlie. That was very touching.
There are SO many awesome scenes, Jack jumping down the cliff at MIB (COMMERCIAL BREAK?! AUGH!), Rose and Bernard, Locke forgiving Ben, Locke getting out of the wheelchair, Sun and Jin having the ultrasound, all the scenes at the caves, and Hurley giving that goofy grin at Charlie
So many more, it was chock full of goodness! Matthew Fox's acting was just amazing. Amazing.
One thing that puzzles me though, was David (Jack's son) just a figment of imagination? If the sideways world is like purgatory, were he and all the others that weren't in the church (Ana Lucia, Daniel Faraday, Eloise Hawking, etc.) waiting until they were 'ready' to move on, maybe with a different group of people? But I think David himself was just put there to help Jack with his Daddy issues, to resolve them. So Jack could move on. And how far back does the sideways world go back? The world may never know.
That last scene absolutely killed me. Jack stumbling through bamboo, the white shoe, Vincent laying with him, the plne overhead, and finally his eye closing. Heart-wrenching. And instead of the *THUD* with the L O S T screen, it just had that pluck-of-a-string sound. IT was just so perfect.
I've read some people thought that the footage of the plane crash meant that everyone really died in the crash, or it was the crash of Lapidus' plane. Not so. An ABC spokesperson confirmed that it was footage of the Oceanic plane wreckage, but it's not a part of the show. ABC put that in there with the credits to decompress the audience before the news came on. I thought that was a good idea too ![]()
Wow, I got to rambling again, lol.

.
I'm so glad that you brought that up, because I'd been wondering about it, and forgot that she said that about the vending machine!
One thing that puzzles me though, was David (Jack's son) just a figment of imagination?. . . But I think David himself was just put there to help Jack with his Daddy issues, to resolve them. So Jack could move on.
Exactly
Remember David was unsure of how Jack would feel about his piano playing. That was definitely Jack's issues with Christian being played out and looking for approval. That being said, I loved the scene with them when Jack realizes, Christian always seemed cold and hard on Jack, which he was, and Jack bitter about it, so that scene was such a nice "softening".
That last scene absolutely killed me. Jack stumbling through bamboo, the white shoe, Vincent laying with him, the plne overhead, and finally his eye closing. Heart-wrenching.
I still felt sappy about it two days later!! ![]()
i'm still heartbroken that it's over ![]()
Perfect, perfect ending! I can't wait to watch it again!
Thanks Zamode! We don't have tivo or dvr or anything, so I'll look forward to Saturday
My mom taped it at her house, so I've already gotten to see it twice, I think it's even better the second time around. I still cried!
Thanks Zamode! I'll be tuning in...this time without kid noise in the background lol...
