Thanks Otter, I actually did have a nice time. I don't usually think of visitng a vacation but this is the first time that dh and me weren't just ready to come home after 2 weeks (aside from sleeping on a double bed for 2 weeks).

LOL...sorry guys.

STEP AWAY FROM THE FRIED ZUCHINI!!! (thoughts)

I'm being good now. No more fried or fattening foods.

Eating right is so hard when you're away!

I forgot my good and bad choices....Monday had about 7 very fatty and very yummy ribs for lunch, for dinner we went out and I had the most delicious asian salad. Reminded me of McDonald's but way better!

I'm going to do my darndest to behave tomorrow, because I know that Saturday may bring disaster. icon_sad.gif My niece is hosting a baby shower in my home and I'm making the cake. They already told me what they are planning on serving in the way of food; I won't go over the gory details just yet icon_razz.gif

Anywho, Thanks for the welcome clsilvus and all other welcomes icon_biggrin.gif

Speaking of Asian salad, has anyone tried the Ken's Lite Asian salad dressing? It is soooo good... It reminds me of Thai food. I eat it w/ salad or just as a dipper for raw veggies. Try it if you like Thai food thumbs_up.gif

Now for today I want everyone to do just 1 thing you thought you couldn't do...pass up oooey-gooey cookies, drink more water, eat veggies and fruit all day, skip that vending machine/fast food lunch. What ever.
This is just a daily booster to show you CAN do the things that help you combat this ugly fat....so show yourself how much a hawt thang you really are today!!!!!!!! thumbs_up.gif

Afternoon, All!

Playing hookey from work today (not really dentist appointment right in the middle of the day). Everybody needs a dentist like mine. She's good for my ego. She always say how good I look every time I go in.

It was only a five mile walk each way.

Right now I am eating a garden salad for lunch. I made it with things fresh from the garden. It is made with fresh picked nasturtium leaves and blossoms, basil, sage, rosemary, pineapple sage, and tomatoes. Add a light salad dressing (2 grams of fat per serving, I had half a serving). Very good, and not a lot of calories or fat.

Well, just checking in on what's happening here today. Have to clean the house up a bit and do some laundry.

Have a great day!

icon_cry.gif I ate Pizza last night! Today is the baby shower, and I know I'm going to Nacho-Hot Wing it up. Add my cake to that and oooo boy. I will do my darndest to only have one serving, then promise myself to be super good tomorrow.

Otter, that salad sounded divine icon_smile.gif

Keep you cold water with you at all times. Drink off it alot. That will help hydrate you as well as flush out excess water and fill up faster!
Without so much goodies.
I use crystal light drink mix to get all my water down me!
It really helps and makes you feel so much better not to mention it improves skin, moisture in your body, keeps kidneys functioning better too!

I've been a very bad girl icon_redface.gif ! So yesterday I didnt eat breakfast because I decide I need to rebake one of my cakes and didnt eat lunch. But I gave the kids some cupcakes for dessert and I ate the leftovers. I was working every spare moment on a cake and my DH was getting home late from golfing. Soooo I ordered pizza for dinner. Then he gets home even later than he originally said he would ....surprise surprise!
I was so tired by then that I didnt get much more done on this cake.

So I have all day today to work on it. Then I realize this morning that I had forgotten that I mangled my grass tip in the disposal. I needed one so I jumped in the car to the store. Then I get back and my DH says, I think Charlie (my 4 year old) needs stitches. So off my DH goes to the ready care with my son. (He just needed some "glue" and he is off and running again!!)

So then guess what is for lunch? Leftover pizza. I made some bad decisions and think I will just eat what I want this weekend and TUESDAY I will start over. You guys know that saying right? I finished my cake, but I am sitting here with heartburn due to my bad choices. thumbsdown.gif

It's sunday ladies. We've almost squashed this long holiday weekend.
So how's that water coming, how about some exercise today?
It's kinda cool here so I think a walk is in order for me. Maybe then I can face grocery shopping! icon_confused.gif
I hate shopping for food when I am trying to avoid it!
Not all of it , but sundays it seems they bake and cook a lot at my local grocer on these days, maybe to get ahead or also because they make fresh doughnuts all day sunday so they fill the air with fried dough goodness. icon_cry.gif

But I am stronger than ANY ol doughnut! thumbs_up.gif

So.........

Thanks for your motivation 2sdae!!!

Good morning all.

Yes the salad was delicious but what was left did not hold up well in the fridge for dinner.

I have work to do today both inside and outside. I have a cherry tree to dig up to give away and I cut some herbs to dry. Inside dishes and laundry (no, I didn't do it on Friday). Hubby got home from work at 3 and you know how that goes, can't get anything done.

Yesterday we went window shopping for clothes for my trip to Chicago. Can't purchase anything until next week after payday. How I long to be wearing clothes that aren't three sized (at least) too big for me. That might be what is making me so dissatisfied with my appearance. It might not be so bad if the clothes actually fit.

Well, I'd better go get something done. Before it gets late and Hubby gets here and NOTHING gets done.

I soooo need to buy more salad stuff! Thank goodness we weren't celebrating the holiday! Now I will do my darndest to get back on track. We had the baby shower on Sat. and NO ONE showed up! Ok ok, I won't say no one; but it was only one other of the girl's friends that showed up besides my niece, who threw the shower! ACK! There was a ton of cake left over! I'm going to try to pawn it off on some neighbors... I was happy to get the experience of making the cake but a little dissappointed w/ the turn out and the reaction to the cake. I really thought they'd like it. It seemed like the same reaction I'd have gotten if I'd just bought a cake from Wal-mart icon_rolleyes.gif Oh well, teens! What are you gonna do, right? icon_razz.gif

I personally would love that cake for my babyshower....not having any more....but I still want it! icon_biggrin.gif

I love the colors especially and the zipper looks good too, always baffles me on those!

And as far as teens appreciating cake.....well.....my oldest daughter said to me the other day, cake is cake and it's all sugar! icon_eek.gificon_confused.gif

My answer to her was "Well duh, it is cake!" So if you want me to stop making them......... icon_rolleyes.gif
Of course her come back was "Well, no. We like eating cake and icing, but it is cake mom!"

In other words....teens are nuts and if it isn't "their" idea of cool and new it just isn't! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif
Even if they really wanted it and liked what ever it was just a minute ago!

So here we are trugging on through this week Ladies!

Kick some fat cell booty and I'll be back to challenge us after I get the kids off to school !

What a disappointment about the cake! I think the reason I do cakes is 50% for me, 40% for the reaction of other people and 10% for money! So if the hard work doesnt seem appreciated and the cake is free...you arent left with much! LOL! It was a great cake! I would love to make one of those sometime.

So like I said, I was not a very good dieter this weekend. But TODAY...I am starting again. Today my son got on the bus for 1st grade and I am going to try and get more organized and scheduled now. Summer vacation is over! I had a good breakfast and filled my water bottle. I am going to try and decide on a dinner menu before 5 o clock! LOL!

Baby steps, Baby steps! I was really pretty good yesterday! yea for me! I am just going to try and take it one day at a time instead of thinking in months or even weeks. Just let me get through this one day....

I am in for a no cheat day. I mean it...NO CHEATING.

2sdae Cake Central Cake Decorator Profile

what a busy day yesterday was! icon_eek.gif
Kids to school, hubby & I had a brief meltdown, dogs were both sick and it was my 3 year olds birthday! So cup cakes to bake and decorate too.
I could have screamed. But no, I ate!
I ate cup cakes, fruit snacks and our family tradition is who's ever birthday gets to pick the meal I cook.
So we had oen baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and corn. Oh and dinner rolls.
That is my 3 year old fav dinner ever for some reason. Most kids want pizza, Mc.Ds, nope. Mine wants Mommy's chicken with potatoes and struff.. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif
So I ate alot! icon_redface.gif
But I did get in a walk and all my water so I do do some good.

So today is no cheat wed.......and that's my challenge. To not cheat at all today. Do all your exercises, drink your water and choose wise foods.

Now to go give away some more cup cakes....I did take 2 dozen to my oldest daughters bake sale today at school!!!!! thumbs_up.gif

yeah, the cup cakes are ok. But the fun part was watching my 3 year old telling my all most 2 year old to be careful cause the icing can leak out the "couples" and ruin your clothes!
They were each filling their own disposable icing bags with couplers and tips of course!!!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Good morning, all.

It's weigh-in day! I was down almost a full pound today. That puts me at 156.2.

This weekend comes the moment of truth. Did I make the size 6? It is clothes shopping time for me. I can't believe it is already almost time for my Chicago trip. Two months since DD left for basic training.

Goals for this week:

1) Buy some clothes that will actually fit (even if
they aren't 6's)
2) Drink my water
3) Breakfast, even on Saturday and Sunday
4) Vitamins every day

Well I am still at 154. Again a maintain, but given that I indulged myself this weekend, I guess I am pretty happy that I didnt gain. I have been on track the last two days and I am ready for some more calorie burning this week.

My goals:
Stick to the water
Stick to the diet
Stick to the exercise
Dont get discouraged and have a pity party.

Good luck this week everyone!

Sorry I am so slow today guys.Went to bed with severe abdominal cramps and slept horribly. Then woke up to worse cramps.
So I havent attempted top go to my up stairs bathroom where my scale is to weigh. icon_confused.gif

Man if someone would have told me having my tubes tied would create such horrible menstrual cramping I may have opted for more kids instead!!!! icon_lol.gif

At least you can put them in time out when they are mean, these cramps are not listening to me at all!

So I'll hold off on goals, but if I didnt loose any than drastic dieting may be in order here. The 19th is DH and I's 17 year ann.
I dont wanna look like a macy's day parade float that night for sure! icon_lol.gif

So today I am supposed to pick cheerleader, well I nominate lynda-bob one our newbies! thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Hope at least some of my cheering was helpful. Kinda been busy with birthdays and all here.

Cheers and send me all your good vibes so I can wash away these meany cramps....... icon_rolleyes.gif

Tuesday, sorry to hear you are feeling unwell. Did you JUST have your tubes tied? If so, is that supposed to happen? maybe you ought to check in with the doctor to make sure nothing is going on.
