Ohara---I know about 5 people right now with the same symptoms as your daughter. They each started out with sinus infections and then moved into their chest. My mom has bronchitus from a sinus infection and one of the chefs and his wife are in the hospital with upper respitory infections from sinus. Go get that girl checked out, too much nasty stuff getting passed around lately. Hope she gets better--keep us updated.

Hey joanmary here is the basic recipe for the french dips.

1 roast, 1 can of beef broth, 1 can of french onion soup, 1 can or bottle of beer. they suggest to trim the fat off the roast. But I am usually to busy to do that LOL Put it all in crockpot( I use the liners in it they are awesome) cook on low for 7 hours. Remove from crockpot and use the juice for dipping.

I found this recipe for them on allrecipes.com the name of the recipe is Easy Slow Cooker French Dips If you want to print it off there you can.

But they are YUMMY

I took some out of the freezer and I am going to warm some up tonight.

Earlier DD And DS had left over tacos or taco salad. And DH had Brats before work tonight.

Well gotta run. I have to get somethings done around here.

Tonight was BBQ pork, mac n cheese, peas and carrots, and french bread.

I took my youngest to the doctor today. She has strep throat. Poor baby. She never has run a fever with this. Weird. She feels SO bad today. She will be home from school tomorrow. Doctor said she should feel some better late tomorrow afternoon and even better Saturday.

JoanMary... good to have you back. I've been missing you.

I agree Ohara well maybe not cause then the fireman would be at my house. Cause whenhe tries to cook he burns it or himself(grill related and another thread for it LOL)

So anyway I put some country ribs in crockpot and made some baked potaotes. DD had mac and cheese earlier. I will eat some ribs soon and DH will have them when he gets off work in the morning.

He actually will have tomorrow night(Sat.) off. MAYBE we can see each other more than 2 hours LOL Is that a good thing LOL

Since he can't cook I am thinking Pizza Hut deliver for MOTHERS DAY LOL

Last night was a shredded pork soft taco with lettuce, sour cream and cheese---my mom made it and brought it over for me.

Then I met up with mom, SIL and my niece with my 4 kids at Timbo's. A hot dog and ice cream stand only open in summer time.

Kids had hot dogs, french fries and ice cream. (I only had water because of eating the food my mom brought over)
I then took my niece and kids to the park and they played for about 1 1/2 hours. Came back to my house and they watch a cartoon before going to bed. my mom took my niece home though. Sometimes living within 5 minutes of family is a blessing....other times a curse. icon_wink.gif

last night was chicken parmesean, spagetti, green beans and cheesy bread.

Tonight DH made me a special meal for mommy's day! HE NEVER COOKS! He has cooked 2 meals in the last probably 8-10 years. Each time was tomato soup with grilled cheese. I was amazed when he cooked bacon wrapped filet mignon, grilled corn, red roasted potatoes with butter and red pepper flakes, grilled apple and pineapple kabobs (that had a honey-pineapple and lemon juice-cinnamon and red pepper glaze) and roasted carrots with a honey glaze. Now that I KNOW he can cook and do a good job---he's in trouble icon_wink.gif

Happy mothers day to you all--hope it's a good one!

Tonight was the big mothers day meal for my mom and MIL

Started with a fresh spinach salad with raspberry walnut ving. with crushed pecans, sunflower seeds, cheese and strawberries.

Next was portabella mushroom caps with olive oil drizzled on with sundried tomatoes and cheese melted on top.

Then eggplant parmesean, stuffed spinach ricotta shells, zucchini squash-yellow squash with onion that was sauted and then cheesy bread (with 5 different cheeses)

Then chocolate coconut burbon cake, chocolate dipped strawberries and then I made a white almond sour cream cake and cut it into layers and then took a cookie cutter to it and filled it with sweetened whipping cream and sliced starwberries and made 3 layers for a strawberrie shortcake with the WASC (which is my mom's favorite)

I did all of this and then my mom looks to me (as she sipping on her hot tea) and says...where was the broccholi asiago cream soup you were going to make? icon_cry.gif AAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! I ran out of time and they noticed. But that's Okay because they were stuffed and happy when they left here.

I'm going to bed ya'll. I have classes from 8-1:15 tomorrow.

Tonight was tomato soup with grilled cheese and flavor-ices for the kids.

I hate my classes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nutrition isn't bad at all, it's that tapedshut.gif astronomy class. I hate it!!!!! I'm in the spring semester so it's 15 weeks of material crammed into 6. It goes for the 4 credit hour science credit I need. EGADS! I'm a culinary major what do I care about the science of the stars---food science yes.---other sciences no. I knew the class wouldn't be easy but every day we have a quiz, every week a presentation and a test. icon_cry.gif The teacher moves fast and I hardly can understand what he is saying because he uses the technical terms.

okay, that's enough whinning from me.

Boost AGAIN for me

(for those that have inquired, as long as I don't eat I am fine LOL....I have been able to eat a little but I don't eat breakfast or lunch and I can't eat any white foods such as potatoes, bread, CAKE etc.)So if I fix dinner for the fam and it is something I can't eat then I have my boost no big deal just sucks not being able to enjoy food anymore icon_sad.gif )
