Ok the show went ok. The candles went better than I thought . It didn't snow YET. I showed my cakes and sold some cupcakes and will sell my husker cakes. The lady said if I didn't sell them to give her a call and she would take them. I have someone that wants cupcakes for this weekend but I told her I need paid up front and she is suppose to get me the money tomorrow.(Not holding my breath on that one) She is kind of on the I'm not sure about her edge. And I have a few interested in Wedding cakes. At least My name got out there. Even if there were only a few that came out. I at least paid for my booth with what I sold.
Anyway on to food. Dang I had the Mickey D for lunch on the fly. My DH picked up DD from me at about 7 this evening. Afterschool she had a cheese sandwich. She had I don't know how many cupcakes when she was with me 
But they were somewhat good for her they were Chunky apple sauce spice. Anything to keep her busy. I know I am BAD MOMMY But had no other Babysitter till DH got up. He works over night. I think he ate turkey bologna. Not sure. I think I will have some leftover spaghetti. 
Better the next day 
I think I am going to take DA deer out of freezer to thaw for stew cause it is SO COLD HERE

Ohara You to go and say the C word with the S word I don't want to you can't make me. I don't usually do most of the shopping closer to christmas. My son will be 16 on the 20th has learned he can get more from my money AFTER CHRISTMAS than for Christmas. So he is usually ok with waiting for some things. But he needs a coat and wants a Dale JR one so I am going to get it for his B-Day. On his list is a car I laughed at that one and so did he.
Oh ya our topic is suppose to be whats for supper. I was to tired to really cook much. So we had frozen fish, and tator tots.

Ya'll I have felt terrible these past two days! I get these horrible headaches right before aunt flo comes to vist and I'm so tired. I know it's the pills I'm on but I can't change right now so I just have to suffer through for now! Better than the alternative (at least right now-maybe another little one down the road!)
I wish I was out shopping. Last night it was storming so I couldn't turn on the computer. We wake up this morning to snow and ice. Now there's about 4 inches of snow on the ground with 6 more predicted. And the winds are blowing pretty strong. The temp is right about 16*F. It's cold and nasty. And I'm hoping the wind doesn't tear up my Christmas lights. I can hear the ones around the front door moving in the wind. They won't stay attached with the nails that are there.
Last night we had creamy tacos.
Tonight was burger and chips.

Hi, is there room for poor old grandma Jan here? I had Progresso soup last night, it was miserably cold, but all the precipitation had stopped! All we had this morning was slick as glass ice, rush hour yesterday was a nightmare, and this morning wasn't a lot better! I just watched it all on TV, thank goodness not out in it!
My dessert was orange Wilton candy wafers, pure sugar, just about!

Meatloaf is on the menu here tonight with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, corn on the cob and rolls.
Well the storm is over. No loss of electricity or anything. But we added 7 inches of snow on top of the already 4 inches of ice. YAY! (Not really...lol) DH got our suv stuck in a snow drift. He ended up taking my mom's truck to work. Mom and I spent about 3 hours digging a path in the snow to get her car out so we could take a chain to our suv. Once we got there a neighbor showed up to try to help us with his 4x4 but didn't have enough traction. So the guy that lived nearby got his 250HP tractor out and got us out. The kids thought playing in the snow was just great.
Tonight I think we'll have filet mignon, fried potatoes, and some veggies of some sort. I think we deserve it after such a rough day...lol.
I'm making Alamosweets recipe for Taquito enchiladas for the first time, very easy to make, looking forward to them!
(just add enchilada sauce, refried beans and cheese to the taquitos and bake)
We are having "lonesome man chili" (beef, 40 cloves of garlic, chipotle peppers, and whiskey cooked for a couple of hours) and some of my fresh baked sourdough bread with chipotle/lime butter!

Ok guys I am so glad we are all at the table. Because I had a earthshattering situation happen today. Today I am thankful my brother is ALIVE. Early Friday morning he was in a car wreck. He is doing ok. But for awhile it was crazy. He plays pool on Thur. Nights. He was riding home with a friend on a back road. She lost control of the vehicle. She was sober and wearing a seatbelt. My bro was tipsy and not wearing one( Me swearing under my breath 
) Anyway He has a broken jaw, broken ribs,cuts, and brain contusions(sp??) Thank you God for saving him. This is the second time for him having a wreck on this road. Several people have died there. It is called dead mans curve for a reason. He has dreampt he dies there. So I am thankful today. He is ALIVE. Sorry I had to let go. Cause I couldn't earlier. And my friends here will let me vent. I wanted to cry today but I am the oldest. So I gotta hold everyone together. He is my step bro but really my BRO. I am only 5 months older than he is. We were the caregivers when mom and dad was working. I was supprised how much he made himself talk and try to keep focused with all the drugs.
Sorry I am not hungry tonight. I did babysit to get my mind of of it. He needed his sleep. Kids had leftover spaghetti.

That is wonderful news that your brother is okay, after such a wreck. Holding things together for everyone else is a major stress on top of just plain being scared for him, hope you can relax a little now and get a little rest yourself. Maybe now you could convince him to never go on that road again!
On Thursday there were 225 wrecks here in Dallas when we had the rain, ice and snow! I'm sure some had injuries, but no deaths, so that was very good.

I'm sorry you're going through all of this right now. It's good to know he's ok, though; Sounds like he's a tuffy!
You must take care right now. Stress can do things to you that you don't even realize, and then...before you know it...BAM!! You've had it. Please take care of yourself. Eat right and try to rest if at all possible. It'll be better soon, and think how thankful you'll be to have Christmas with the 'bro!
Last night the youngest and I went out for wings. A family named "Craven" opened up a really nice wing place over the hill in Seymour, called "Craven Wings." (get it--craving wings--"craven wings?") Anyway, their wings are really great. DS ordered the BBQ flavor (amazing sauce!) and I got the "medium" hot wings. They're really tangy and not-too-hot. YUMMMmmm.
My "crazy-tourist-who-didn't-take-the-time-to-listen-to-his-wife-about-cake-flavors-or-types-but-who-tried-to-make-up-for-it-by-contacting-us-man" decided he didn't want the cake, after all. He said he didn't want to try and get a cake when he wasn't really sure of what she wanted. I'm thinking, "Well, if you had actually LISTENED in the first place..."
But still, I was relieved. Even though I lost an order. I'd rather know exactly what a customer wants and actually GIVE it to them, ya' know??
