Milly, you are a girl after my own heart, most of my "dinners" are very similar, so I don't get to post here too often, I mostly come here to use my imagination and taste everybody's great meals.

wow....i missed a lot.

EVERYONE is sick here. including me. ugh. i've had some version of chicken soup the last three days: homemade chicken soup, chicken noodle soup, chicken and rice soup....and lots and lots of juice and water!

just got an e-mail from wilton and they're looking for instructors in my area. i desperately need the money so yay for that! i just don't have a good picture of my roses or shell borders so i'm going to try to get caking soon.

JUJU: I love those easy-to-fix dinners! Just love those nights!

MXPARK: Good luck on getting better AND being an instructor!! Let us know how it goes...

MONICA: You're lucky...you always get to eat what YOU want to eat!

BY THE WAY, Y"ALL: A "skeezer" is one of those people like you'd see on "Jerry Springer," etc. You know--the big, poofy (or limp and stringy) type hair, the orange fake&Bake tan, the faded out (way too faded out) jeans that are pencil-legged, etc. Y'all know one. I know you do. Y'all probably have a "skeezer" for a friend.

Yeah. Well, my latest bride contract is a total "down in the 'Ville" skeezer. She's the one who hustles her food-stamp card on the first Friday of the month to the rich skeezer from the West side. And her "groom" (lol---Ahhhhhaaaa! icon_twisted.gif ) is just the same, only male: He's the one with the 20 year old Harley, chopped and lowered. He's got the flat boy hat with a tassle in the back. Yeah. Full MULLET style hair. Under the "skeezer boy" hat. In his 20 year old biker leathers. He's the dude who gets disability checks, but works side jobs on people's cars in his "spare" time.

So the cake they want is red velvet, right? Yeah. On a 3 tier garden stand, with a HARLEY BIKERS TOPPER on top. icon_confused.gificon_confused.gifthumbsdown.giftapedshut.gif

But, it's THEIR day...not mine. I don't have to like 'em--just bake for 'em.

So, tonight's dinner is:

Crockpot pork roast with potatoes & carrots.

I had one of those good 'ole Stauffer frozen dinners, roasted potatos, broccoli and chicken...there were approximately 4 bites of chicken, mostly potatoes, but they were good and the gravy was good (don't even think about the sodium and fat). Not bad though. I had Ghiradelli semi sweet chips for dessert. Janice

Hey everyone I know I was missing in action icon_cry.gificon_lol.gif I did a craft show for my candles today(Sat) and I was able to have some cakes. So I was a busy baker. I did my pumpkin spice cake. I saw on the site a cake decorated like a pumpkin pie (Light bulbs went off in head) I thank who ever posted those pics in gallery. And to michelle (I can't think of your site name right now) for the awesome cream cheese frosting recipe. I took sample of the pumpkin cake for tasting. got good reviews. I made the cakes and cupcakes in pumpkin and an apple spice . I sold a few pumpkin cakes. I sold cupckes better than the cakes. I got my name out there and some future orders.

With that said

Knox Dh has a mulet no biker threads. thumbs_up.gif (wants to see pics) tell them you are working on a book of satisfied cutomers and get there pic thumbs_up.gif You know if that it is legal or not icon_lol.gif Oh and great job on cakes

mxpark I hope your feelin well soon. I didn't have time this time for cookies. I will be doing another show the 29th so maybe then thumbs_up.gif And instructor you go girl. I need money to but I don't know if I am ready to teach yet.

What did we eat lately???
today lunch was craft food( a polish sausage and a sloppy joe) I made frozen fish sticks, mac n cheese, and hashbrowns for DH and DD.
Last night was french dips done in crockpot easy dump thing in and go. The are YUMMY though.
Anything before that I can't remember or don't know what they all ate. I was a mad women.

I know I really need to get pics of my cakes put together. But some of my pics don't look to good cause of the crappy camera. At least they were all amazed by my pumpkin pie cake thumbs_up.gif

I guess I will stop for now and take a breath after this long post.

Ok tonight was an easy meal. I am still tired from craft show. And DD bless her heart attempted to do my dishes for the last 2 days. I was joking with her last night and said Brooke why haven't you washed the dishes. Really mommy can I do the dishes. She was so excited about doing them and that I would let her do them. So she started them and did a few more today. BUT I looked at some of them and I will need to rewash them. But I am not going to tell her and break her heart icon_sad.gif She tried so hard and I was so tired.

Anyway we had spaghetti with Schwans garlic breads, and breadsticks.

mxpark hope your feelin better soon thumbs_up.gif

knox I hope that DS that has that other meaning(knows all to well that feeling icon_cry.gif ) behaves for you soon

monica - thanks so much for the well wishes. dh changed the bedsheets and wiped everything down with lysol so hopefully that takes care of all the germs and we can all get back to normal. icon_rolleyes.gif those cookies sound yummy. were they hard to make? and yeah - that's me in my avatar.

knox - i wish i could make that soup from scratch but unfortunately it was a packaged mix and i just added water and spinach. icon_redface.gif i think the company name is bear creek. not sure though.

kay - my stepdaughter loves helping with chores too. as a matter of fact - so did my brother. but now its a constant fight to get him to put his dish in the sink after dinner!! icon_confused.gif why can't they stay so helpful?!? icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif

ok y'all - CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS?!? i tried making this and i really didn't like the way it came out. i don't know what i did wrong since everyone here likes it so much. my dh and dad said it was yummy but i didn't really care for it. icon_cool.gif

mxpark I know about the help from kids. I know about growing out of helping my teenage DS has chores to and at around age 10 it was like pulling teeth to get him to do anything had to tell him several times to get them done. He would only listen if you screamed at him. He would tone you out otherwise icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif Now he is alittle better he knows if he does his chores first he can do more things. So if he wants to do something extra the first thing he asks is what do you need done?? icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif He knows I will probably let him do things if he get extra chores done.
And there is nothing wrong with adding to store bought food to make it taste better. It is still your own recipe thumbs_up.gif My spaghetti sauce is the little sauce cup that comes with the Schwans ring cheese bread. It is for dipping the bread in but we don't do that. I didn't want to waste it so I add it to my 2 cans of delmonte sauce (they are each a differnt flavor). It is very unique I have had people say what recipe do you use for your sauce and I laugh icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif When I tell them they are very surprised thumbs_up.gif

mxpark- the cookies were a sinch to make. The hardest part of making them was you had to beat the butter for 20 minuted or until it become white lite & fluffy. It does not take alot of ingredents either. I will post the recipe if you want me to. Dnag I hope you are better today. Thats SO sweet of DH.

I have no clue whats for din-din tonight. I will be either chili or spegetti.
