Me & my old man went to Long John Silver's. There's a pretty good one here on Clinton Hgw., their stuff's always real hot & fresh! icon_rolleyes.gif

Had the super sampler with shrimp, fish, chicken. Yummm! icon_razz.gif

I haven't had Long John Silver's in such a looong time. I have fuzzy memories of LJS-my mom used to take us there when we were younger if we had a day off of school or something like that. Ahhh good mommy stuff! I love the shrimp!

KNOX: I died laughing icon_lol.gif at your post about me getting you hooked on ramen noodles. I am SSSOoooooooo sick of those things.

Last night I ate ramen noodles thumbsdown.gif .

I did not get home until 10pm from a Gum Paste flowers class at the Sugar Shoppe here. DANG IT I had an incredible time. I felt like I was on cake central but it was hands on. Man I LOVE THAT place!! I only though I loved it now its more than love. They have more cake stuff than I know existed. I bought me a push mold to make flowers out of. I am SO excited about it. I was telling everyone of cake central. No one had herd of it icon_sad.gif I said you HAVE to go there!! Maybe we will see them very soon. thumbs_up.gif

Ok I have rattled on long enough......

Oh I forgot to say I have No clue whats for din-din tonight.

They're pictured in my gallery.

I'm not even thinkin' about supper tonight--gonna make the Old Man take me out somewhere decent. FORGET COOKING TONIGHT! Lol. icon_twisted.gif

LMAO, OMG that is hilarious... I may have to invest in that book also! It was dinner two nights ago (Roast chicken is my FAV)

Here is my confesion... It has been four days since I have been on CC and I am experiencing Tremors, Twitching, sleepiness, lack of ideas, and god for bid I think some housework got done! icon_surprised.gif

I am trying to cut back b/c Sept. 1st I leave for a 10 day vacation in Quetico park in Canada and will only be seeing the other 3 people I am going with... But trust me I WILL be thinking about CC.

I am so hungry now though after catching up on the missed post.

I haven't been feeling well lately so it is another light supper. Italian sandwhich on white bread (they were out of wheat icon_cry.gif ) Then doing more work at home to get ahead of going on vacation.

After reading everyones post maybe instead of going north I will head south to Florida where I know there is good company and good food... May have to make a few stops in between also... You know have some good ramen noodles from the Gourmet chef!

Ok, I'm going to jump in here. I don't cook alot since I am single and don't like to cook for one.

Here is my menu: (It was soooo good!!)

Fresh Purple Hull Peas
Corn on the cob
Fresh yellow squash with onions, sauted in olive oil
Fresh sliced tomato

Dessert is going to be Peach Cobbler
I found a low fat, low calorie recipe and it looks yummy!!

I really, REALLY love this one forum! It gives us all a chance to "catch up" with each other at the end of the day--and sometimes in-between!! icon_rolleyes.gif

Today was a SERIOUS challenge for me--I did 3rd shift last night, and then came home, did 4 full hours in the kitchen with the portable tasting cakes---THEN went out to deliver them---THEN went out to eat with the family and friends. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif Gives a new meaning to the word "exhaustion!"

I love it, though; makes me feel like I'm alive.

CINDY6250: Yeah, girl!! VEGGIES IN THE SOUTH!! mmmmmmm. thumbs_up.gif Dang, that sounds good. icon_rolleyes.gif

LEILY: Roast chicken is my fave, too---I could probably eat like 2 packs at a time, if I wanted to develop a serious case of the "sloth." And--just so you know--if you DO go on that trip, they have internet cafe's all over the world now, if you get a serious case of the shakes! LOL icon_wink.gif

SAMSGRANNY: Wow! You're always eating good stuff, too. And now a POTLUCK!! Seriously, though: That's the way to go...there's always a bunch of good cooks and good food. I wish we had something like that around here! icon_cry.gif How DOES that happen, I wonder?

MONICA: I want to go to a gumpaste class--but I've never heard of 'em around here. May have to ask my instructor 'bout that...NOW I'm JEALOUS! icon_twisted.giftapedshut.gif

LAZYSUSAN: MMMexican! I've been craving that lately! The old man knows a really good little "hole-in-the-wall" one that just opened up on his beat--have to get him to take me! thumbs_up.gif

DALTONAM: I wanna learn to do the luster dust. I'm trying to get really really close to the champagne color on the bride's dress and add that "sheen" that her dress has, too. Dang. Guess I'll have to spend a couple hours experimenting with color and frostings and dust. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Well, I'm gonna watch some tv. Another Saturday tomorrow!

Monica0271---I am an old divorced lady, no kids. Just me the dog and 2 cats. Actually I have gotten so used to being single that I'm not sure I could deal with being married. Not saying I never will, but the prospects are slim...

Knoxcop---is your 3rd shift midnight to 8 am?? That is what I work all the time. I dispatch for Memphis PD....I can't think of this guy's name right now, but will find out. He is an officer in Knoxville now, but he used to be Memphis Police officer and his wife was a dispatcher here. And yes maam, those southern veggies are my favorite!! The peach cobbler turned out really well. Didn't taste low fat.

Tonight was junk food night! LOL We had Frozen Red Baron Pizza followed by Ice Cream for dessert.

dodibug - I might have to get that book on Ramen Noodles!!! I like Ramen Noodles icon_smile.gif

Monica0271 and cindy6250 - I often cook for one and enjoy it! My hubby was raised on frozen dinners and such and I was raised on good Southern Cooking. Since he is from the Pacific Northwest and I am from the Old South, he won't touch the stuff that I cook!!!! LOL However, everyone at work begs me to bring in some of my good Southern Cooking icon_smile.gif
