Ohhh, i love sushi! That was the only thing I didn't like about being pregnant-no sushi!
oh scheisse, red bean ice cream- that's what I forgot LOL ok thanks for the reminder LOL
yeah this guy came to order something the other day and picked up some california rolls and said his wife was preggo and would the imitation crab be ok for her to eat- cause she REALLY wanted cali rolls lmao- like hello I dnot know if imitation crab is good for preggo women- but I said hey i'm not sure but you can always get it and then if you find out otherwise then you can eat it instead (not sure the wife woulda liked that though lmao)
Well I was kind of the food nazi when I was preggers so I wouldn't eat anything even the cali rolls just because it was prepared where the raw stuff was. We used to have dinner every Sunday with friends and when it was their turn to cook they always had a fit because I couldn't/wouldn't eat some of the things they wanted to make. I kept telling them-just wait till you guys are pregnant!
Great now I'm gonna have to get some red bean ice cream this week...mmmm.
The family got split up today, what with cake classes and a cheesecake delivery and birthday delivery.
Just uploaded a new pic I did.
We had some chicken fingers from a restaurant locally called "Sawyers." They weren't anything to write home about!

Yeah Im pretty nazi-ish myself when it comes to food prep- I'm german -isnt that funny HAHAHA (just kidding, definitely not pro-nazi lol)- where I work we have a separate area for raw, for cooked, and for non-seafood.
Ok so speaking of red bean, I dont know if you have this where you are but the regional dairy here on Vancouver Island makes green tea ice cream, mango ice cream, (those were the first 2 I discovered and got hooked on- very very creamy) and then they brought out ginger -kind of candied ginger, tiny bite to it, very nice, and they also have coconut- yeah you can guess what brand of ice cream I buy now LOL- they do have red bean but not in the small store here- but I've seen it- just havent bought it (yet) from this brand anyway. Damn 2 more days and I'll be in the big city where I can get all that stuff in large amounts LOL
raviolis and meat sauce, salad, and garlic bread
Y'all sure do make me hungry. Haven't felt up to cooking much. Tonight we had pizza.
Tonight I had California Rolls, a ham sandwich (from a vending machine YUCK!), a package of 100 calories doritos, a nectarine and a chocolate muffin. I'm at work so it's dining on vending!! LOL
Lazy_Susan
Susan we have got to get you packing your lunch! ![]()
butterflyjuju-come to one of our houses-we'll feed you! Make knox bring dessert-she's the cheesecake master!!
ocean-my dh loves ginger ice cream! When we go for sushi he always has to ask for more ginger-it's his fav part I think. lol. We have a couple of markets that might carry my ice cream. I'll have to check now. I know the one I went to before (had to have black rice! Have you ever had it? I have a recipe for a dessert made with it-like black sticky rice pudding type deal with coconut milk mmmmm!) That store didn't have it but there is another one I haven't been too.
Tonight:
Ropa veija-it's a cuban dish, literally means old clothes, it's flank steak, tomato, spices, onion, garlic, etc cooked for several hours till the meat shreds/falls apart. Probably have yellow rice and veggie with it!

UGH it's not even 7am, I shouldnt be thinkin about ginger ice cream yet LOL - not sure what I'll be having for dinner- I found out the party is Thursday not Saturday (I'm heading into the city tomorrow- thought I had 2 days to play with my decorating so I wouldnt have to do it all here- so well here goes an allnighter tonight - means I wont much feel like eating LOL
Funny eating is all I do when I'm up late-keeps me awake! And I wonder why I can't lose those last 10 baby pounds!
I'm going to have to make some black rice this week-I have rice and coconut milk in the pantry-mmmmm!
I love cooking with coconut- what I havent done yet is use it instead of regular milk in cakes yet- I shall have to do that- I've seen some DARN tasty looking coconut cake recipes in here that are worthy of trying out (even using it in BC as well mmmm) ![]()
Hey, Y'all!
Tonight the Old Man & I went to this trashy lil' buffet place down the street. Dude--they charged us $22.00 for two plates & two iced teas. The food was ok, but just..."ok." Not worth $22.00 in my opinion!
We've been having trouble with our oldest, and that's why we've eaten out for two nights. What with cake class & all--that's ok, though--I NEVER eat out like that! ![]()
Bought some stuff to put a meat loaf together with, and I'm going to go ahead & mix it up tonight, so tomorrow night, IT'S READY!!! ![]()

DODI--You should totally open up your own lil' place--it sounds like you can really sling some hash, girl! ![]()

You funny girl!!! It helps that my mom was a good cook and I learned alot from her and dh loves to eat so I get to play in the kitchen! And when I decided not to go back to work after ds was born and we had to live on a poor student's loans (dh) I figured I better step it up in the kitchen so we wouldn't go out to eat as much! (
I love, love, love to go out to eat-when he gets his first real paycheck I'm goin' out for the most expensive meal I can think of!!
)
Ramen noodles-dh would cry if I brought those in the house. He ate his fill and then some his first year in college. He's scarred for life!
Good for you Samsgranny! I try to eat pretty healthy all day and then eat what I want within reason at dinner time. Sometimes I do better than others!
Tacos and rice here. With lots of cheese and salsa for me.
Tonight the hospital fed us. It's our one year Anniversary since we opened. So I had:
Salmon
Wild Rice
Mango Salsa
Chicken with pineapple glaze (yuck)
California Roll (I bought this LOL)
Cake
And coke to drink
I hate to complain because they were so nice to provide dinner for us but..... I didn't like any of it. That's why I bought the California Roll. The cake came from some bakery and you could totally taste some chemically taste.
Lazy_Susan
lazy-susan--i'm so soory for you.
Zaxby's last night--ds has doc appt--we can not afford to eat out & then DH's like--pick up supper i don't want to wait for u to cook--well heck eat leftover chicken & dumplings--haha--i didn't say it just thought it
I saw a great recipe for chicken and cherry tomatoe salad. It looked so yummy.... I might try that tonight.
You know what, y'all? These dinner salads y'all are posting about sound really, really good. I think I might have to try one some night! Maybe like a taco salad or whatever... ![]()

Tonight:

I made it a little different this time and I liked it much better. [/quote]
That's it. Fine. ![]()
Y'all have forced me to max out the already strained plastic on a plane ticket out of Mghee-Tyson.
I'll be arriving in Florida in the mornin'--I'll be the one carryin' the two gallon jugs of cheapie Tennessee spring water so I can make Y'all some tea that tastes right.
And along with that, I'll be needing some of Dodi's cuban hash there, and some of Tara's dang cake.
Don't make me wait with all the sweaty "tourists" at that dang'd airport, now Y'all--I'm not a "tourist," anyway. I'm there to throw away some groceries!
Oh, yeah: Monica'll be the one holding the huge basket of ramen noodles. She SWEARS she has recipes! ![]()
