Good Morning Ohara, Kay, Mewie, Melissa and Moni icon_smile.gif !!!

Last night was Chili, cornbread and brownies (the ghiradali are YUMMY)

Tonight will be homemade chimichanga's with a cheese based sauce, tomatos, lettuce and all the fixins and fried ice cream on cinnamon tortillas icon_biggrin.gif

Oh Dell came yesterday...I tried to tell them that it was my powercord on the phone and he wouldn't listen to me. So they sent out a tech to switch out the mother board...well guess what? The tech drove 120 miles for nothing...all it was was the powercord LOL. Guess they will listen next time.

Kay my harddrive went out about 4 months ago and it was a DRAG!!!! But thank goodness Dell has such great service and I have a really good warrantee. They talked me through the installation and we were on the phone for like 2 hours installing the thing icon_sad.gif but it got done!! icon_biggrin.gif

Have a wonderful day guys!!!! And hope all is well!

Ok I am still working on the computer I have to reinstall all the junk we had on it...And I don't exactly know what I am doing. But I have it back up and running at least. And I didn't lose my pictures and things. My friends DH was a lifesaver. He is a computer wiz. I had to buy an external harddrive $100 and he was able to get around all the problems to transfer all our stuff. Then we had to wipe out the memory and start all over. He only charged me $40 to help me. But know I have to reinstall it all unles I want to pay him more. I am going to do as much as I can before I have to call him..

The sale went pretty well until the computer crashed. At least I had some money from the sale to buy the harddrive. But I was counting on the money to pay some bills. But I need my computer for my business so had to get it fixed ASAP

Ok What we had that I can remember..

Lasagna
Tatortot casserole
Tonight was leftovers they picked what they wanted

Well I better get back to reinstalling..

I will chat later

What a crappy day!!!

Kay glad to see you back at the table. I wish you luck with your computer. If I didn't have DH I wouldn't be able to do much with my computer.

Monilynn....potato planks are just skin on potatoes that I microwave part of the way, then slice into quarters (if small potatoes) and fry in olive oil until crunchy and golden brown. I don't eat them but my potato loving DH does.

Hope every one is well.

Tonight I grilled pork chops, roasted onions and carrots with balsamic and olive oil, and made stuffing.

I hope everyone else is doing good..

Hi Everyone-

Hope your weekend went well.

Monday night was leftover lasagna
Last night was chili, cornbread and pears.

Not sure about tonight yet, it's a little warm here, low 80's can't complain for October.

Talk to you soon.

leily....I'm sure you are crazy busy...hope you check in soon.

Tonight I made chef salads. DD had hot dogs and blue box icon_wink.gif

Any one else that is reading this. We would love to have you pull up a chair at the dinner table and join us. thumbs_up.gif

well I didn't go back and read since my last post, but I imagine since it was a couple of pages ago I have been gone to long =)

I love fall, but it seems to be the busiest time of the year (which is fine, I just don't get as much time here as I want)

Last night I made spagetti

Tonight homemade mac n'cheese, ham, and I think it will be green beans (mac n'cheese is in the oven atm) I have been craving it since the thread about mac n'cheese was started so I finally gave in. I was trying to wait until it got colder but it warmed up to 85 today and tomorrow is suppose to be 89-90 UGH! I want the fall weather icon_cry.gif

Well tomorrow I have a nephews birthday party, then the drive in theater... Sat we're going canoeing and sunday is softball so I dont' know if I will make it to the table this weekend, I will try to next week but I have class two nights next week and I am starting on another cake order due in a couple of weeks. So I will be thinking about you.

I hope everyone is healthy, happy, and not to tired (the holidays aren't here yet!) See you all soon.

Well TheScwans guy stopped by last night. So I got some Salisbury Steak Dinners. There were 2 dinners to the pack for $9 kind of pricy. I thought they would have a couple of pieces of meat each one. But only one piece of meat in each. So I made both for DH. He said they were good but not that good to buy them again for that price. I made myself frozen pizza..

Tonight was frozen fish and fries.

DH took DD to a concert at the college. The Marine Corps band is here from California. They are going to March in the big parade this weekend at the next town over. But they visit our High School and college today. My husband was a Marine so he really wanted to take DD to see them. They had a great time.

I had a headache so I didn't go. My allegies are kicking my butt. They are putting in grass seed on the lot next to our house. It is part of the Catholic High School. They should have made it a parking lot.. BBBUUUUTTT No lets plant grass and let the cars park on the street so no one can drive done the narrow street when we have games.. GGGRRR So anyway they shredded up hay and put it on top of the grass today.. So you can see where I got my allergy headache from.

It warmed up here also and was VERY HUMID.. It is suppose to in the 90's the next couple of days.

DS truck is (ssshhhh don't talk to loud) running. There now I typed it. I hope I didn't jiinx him. LOL

Liely glad to see ya stop in. Hope you can stop in again real soon.

Mewie um Chili and corn bread did you read my mind?? I bought the stuff for chili just waiting for it to cool down again in a few days..

monilynn Chicken spaghetti sounds very interesting..

Ohara I am going to have to make a salad now LOL DH is suppose to bring home some authentic burritos.. He was suppose to bring some a few weeks ago and the guy got in trouble selling them at work. So they are trying to get around it. He is going to leave there orders for them in the breakroom. And collect from them before work. So I am hoping I get them tonight.. They are AWESOME... It is kind of like us cake decorators Got to jump through hoops to sell out of your home.. GGGRRR So if I don't get my burrito I guess I will have a salad..

Christi and Melissa hope all is well..

Ok I am going through burrito withdrawls.... My fix didn't come through. I guess my supplier must have gotten busted again LOL DH called me on the break he usually brings them home and said he hasn't seen the guy and the burritos weren't in the break room. I am so jonesing (sp) I totally had my mind set on them yet again and now NONE...I don't really want a salad. I boiled the eggs but am thinking egg salad sandwich. And after DH called I needed some comfort foods so I made choc. nobake cookies..... I know but I needed a fix from something and they are easy and FAST LOL

No dusting of my chair needed Ohara, I'm back. I've been really busy lately. I had a large project due on wednesday. Bigsisof3kid (beth) and I are in the same culinary class so we worked on it together. We each put in probably 20+ hours on this one proposal project. I was up till 2 am - 3:30 am working on this for a few nights. Yesterday, I had an order due for a shoe business celebrating their 1st year in business. Had to decorated a 3 tiered fake cake and make 3 dozen hazelnut-chocolate chip cake truffles (they call these Satan Balls), 3 orders for low-fat lemon diamonds and 3 orders for toffee bars with chocolate on top. I was up till 4:35am, got up and delivered the order than went straight to school. I'm so tired, but I'm still determined to work out and last night had my butt handed to me in a boot camp class. Now I've been through Marine bootcamp but I was also in better shape then. A 1 hour class about killed me! I'm so sore, but I'm going back today to work out again.

Glad to see you are all doing well (other than Kay not getting her burritos).
I LOVE chef salads, that sounds so good right now.
Okay Monilynn, where's the recipe for chicken pasta? icon_wink.gif

hhmmmm, seems to me I'm not the only one who has been absent lately--where is everyone else at?

Last night was soup and sandwiches. I made an apple pie with struedal topping too, but only had 2 bites of it (remember-I'm trying to be healthier icon_lol.gif ) The night before that was a "what do I have on hand that I can slop together night" So we had fresh green beans, rolls, applesauce and pasta with sauted chiken olive oil-sundried tomatoes and some herbs and spices I had on hand. It had a little more of a cajun flavor to it.

Have a GREAT day everyone! It's going to be around 87 degrees here today in MI. I LOVE IT!

Good to be back at the table Ohara. I missed you all.

Tonight was bbq chicken breasts, corn on the cob, sliced tomatoes with a lil' salt, butternut squash smashed up with brown sugar and butter, mac n' cheese and leftover apple pie.

Made the big mistake of sitting down rather than going straight to the gym after dinner, no I can't seem to get motivated to go. icon_lol.gif I have another term paper due on Monday so I'll be workin on that this weekend, but hopefully it won't take as long as the last one. Glad it's te weekend. Hope you are all doing well.

mkolmar...I've never had butternut squash. Do you bake it? I am desperate for new ideas for healthy foods. I am so bored with food and there isn't much for in season veggies right now.

Tonight I grilled burgers, we also had green beans, angel hair pasta with herbs. (I had grilled turkey burger with green beans and cottage cheese)
I did get a few new recipe ideas off the internet this morning. I will try them soon.

SO he and DD went to bed to watch a movie and are sound asleep. DD will march in our parade tomorrow morning and DH is taking her so I can SLEEP IN... Anyway that is my plan LOL

Ohara have you checked out the recipes on allrecipes.com they have a section for healthy eating... There are some really yummy sounding recipes on there.

melissa you need some rest girl... I know I am not one to tell you to slow down when I don't either LOL

Have a GREAT WEEKEND

I have a great butternut squash casserole recipe (it tastes like pumpkin pie kind of) but it's not a healthy one.

For tonights squash I just cut off the top a little and then straight down the middle to have equal halves. Scoop out the seeds and place skin side up in a dish, fill with 1 inch of water. Bake at 350 degrees until tender. (or nuke it in the microwave until tender) Scoop out of the skin and smash it up adding butter and brown sugar to taste. I do the same thing with sweet potatoes too.

another good site is recipezaar.com I love that website.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONILYNN!!!!!!! Glad you had a great meal, sounds wonderful!

I just snuck on here real quick to say that I just got a call from the National Restaurant Association. I'm one of the finalists for a scholarship.
I meet with them next tuesday at 10:30 for a 30 minute interview. I'm nervous!!! I can't tell my DH about it because he'd be furious. He doesn't want me to continue going to school after I graduate with my Associates Degree. Said even if I get the scholarship I have to turn it down. WHATEVER!!! I'm still going for it and will continue if I get it. I figured if I get the scholarship it's a sign from God to keep going. I had to tell someone before I explode, so who better than my table friends. thumbs_up.gif
