OK I am going to try this again icon_cry.gif I had typed everything in and accidentally X'd out icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I was so pissed at myself that I needed to wait awhile to post again.

ANYWHO WOWSA icon_surprised.gif I didn't babysit tonight. I needed the money but after last night I am glad I got a break even if it was last minute icon_surprised.gif My picky eater was being a pain icon_cry.gif So what I had planned for supper went out the window kind of. DD had mac and cheese. I put BBQ country ribs in crockpot, I made hashbrown casserole, and cheesy greenbeans.

joanmary glad you got to go out for supper thumbs_up.gif

JUJU glad you are feeling better when I was going to post earlier you post said you weren't feeling to well and I said get some rest. I still think you need it. So get some rest OK thumbs_up.gif

Knox Congrats on the huge cake order thumbs_up.gificon_lol.gif Good luck I am envious icon_razz.gif in away I want one but would be crapping my pants and hyperventilating (sp) at the same time icon_cry.gif But seriously We know you can do it thumbs_up.gif so GOOD LUCK and we await future wedding cake updates icon_lol.gif And WOW I wish I could find a great deal on abed like yours icon_surprised.gificon_eek.gifthumbs_up.gif I hope you can get it soo soon. And by the way we got a dusting of snow again tonight icon_razz.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif the offer still stands I will mail you some seriously icon_cry.gif So I can get it off of my front yard icon_cry.gif And where are our other friends icon_confused.gificon_razz.gif I was wondering as well. Isn't one on a cruise though?? (glories) I hope she is having some fun thumbs_up.gif

mkolmar I am trying to stay inside but it ain't working so good. I got stuff to do icon_cry.gif I am taking my reflux meds though cause I know I have the problem. And this med will help cure it thumbs_up.gif Even if it isn't the culprit at hand. My chest still hurts and I am going to the doc again to get it checked out. My other DS just informed my she went to the ER on WED. for a tight chest and they did an EKG and it was normal. but when she took the nitro tabs she felt better thumbs_up.gif So she has to go for more tests also. And she told me in no uncertain terms get my A$$ back to the doc. Since we lost my cousin recently. I am not going to take any chances. I hope you force the issue as well.

Tonight was bbq chicken, smashed garlic butter taters and rolls for the kids. Dh is having a ham sandwich that's baked in a bread bowl with cheese, mayo, spinach and honey mustard in it. Sounds odd but tastes good....trust me!

Got an email today from the ladies who ordered the baked goods for their shoe store and they were very happy. pheww! That made me feel better since I always wonder. OF course I have to go tuesday and pick up some plates I have there and get paid, so maybe then they will change their mind icon_lol.gif .

OK was a wierd day. Kids mostly munched all day DD went to a B-Day party this afternoon. And DS is grounded so he is sleeping his sentence off icon_razz.gif (for skipping school with some girls in my car) And DH is working 7 days a week. So we usually watch the commercial show (SUPER BOWL) But he slept. I put BBQ little smokies in the crockpot and we all ate them when we wanted. DD ate some cereal and some applesauce. And DS made himself some sort of egg sandwhich icon_rolleyes.gificon_cry.gif ( I get to clean the mess)

mkolmar DD is one the mend still kind of soft foods. And when her spacer comes in we will probably have some issues then as well. But she is a tough cookie so maybe it will be easy thumbs_up.gif

joanmary You snackin to thumbs_up.gif It is so much easier that way icon_razz.gif

knox - In N Out are burgers and fries. It is fast food made slow. They make their own fried, etc. My husband says it is better for you than MickeyD!!?? I have my reservations.

Salad with pork (I know - weird choice of meat but it was what we had leftover). Actually made some ribs for later in the week when we have company.

Tara - glad you are ok.

WOW!! The former replies page actually popped up for me tonight--on THIS page! (Like it's supposed to.) icon_confused.gif

What a DAY! Got off at 2:00 and then we went to look at a house that a lady wants moved off her property. It was MADE FOR MY CAKE BUSINESS!!! Older home, but HUGE. The "pantry" is the size of my small bedroom. Custom cabinets everywhere for cake pans/stuff. Kitchen you could park a Volkswagon in. Perfect place for a built-in double oven. Beautiful cabinets. A doorway in the kitchen, a doorway into the pantry, a doorway into the dining room. That way--if someone wanted to pick up their cakes, they wouldn't have to see the whole dang'd house--just pick it up and right back out the same door!!!!

She only wants $50,000 for the whole thing, including moving costs. I just have to find some land for it to sit on, and talk the Old Man into selling this house. This was his Mom & Dad's house, they bought it new--so there's a lot of sentimentality there. Probably won't happen, but I'd be a happy girl if it did happen! A girl can always dream, I reckon. icon_rolleyes.gif

JUJU: I absolutely love pickles. Just about any kind! Bread & butter (homemade) are my favorites with dinner!

KOLMAR: Try to stay safe and warm. That kind of cold can literally freeze your airways BEFORE you know it. Seriously!

MONICA: How's the remodel going? Lucky! I love hamburger soup. Or just hamburger. Love, love love me some hamburger!!!

Tonight was bbq from my little favorite place. Good grannies, they've got the best ribs. Mmmm. Make you smack your momma--lots of smoke flavor. They use hickory to smoke it all day. Don't git no better'n nat, y'all!

Oh my goodness, I know it has been since at least a page in the 80's since I have stopped by the dinner table to join you guys.

December just flew by with birthdays, holidays, and company coming to visit. Then the beginning of January I got laid off of work so you would think i had time to be on here more but I have been trying to find another job and then a family member is going through a divorce so my BF and I are spending more time with the kids....

Phew... So to get back on track. Glad to see everyone is still here and so many new faces (although I will admit I did not go back and read all 30 something pages LOL)

So tonight my BF and I went out to eat with his sister and her kids, his dad, and my parents. So there was a variety of food at the table-local Italian restaurant! 3 different pizza's, a meatball sandwhich, and a couple of great pasta's

Hey all! Monday was Chili, Tuesday Spaghetti, tonight leftovers.

Oh, and been super busy as we (pretty much) adopted a new daughter! Dd has her first "very bestest friend", a girl from her class, and the girls have been going back and forth spending the night for the past couple of weeks. 48 hours apart and they are both bawling, 48 hours together and we still have a difficult time separating them! It's been baking, crafting, painting, the works here, and I'm loving it! Took them to the mall for dd's birthday trip, and a trip it was! Two 5 y/o girls, each with money to spend AAARGH! Chinese for her birthday dinner tomorrow. Oh, and we all survived the first slumber party. TGI OVER!

wow Zmama you have been busy. You are a brave person too taking them both to the mall, I would have lost my mind probly. (or what ever little is left)

Tonight was italian breaded chicken with mac n cheese for the kids, oreo ice cream too. (my DD doesn't like oreos though so now I'm making homemade hot chocolate icon_confused.gif ) I'm making cajun chicken pasta tonight for DH and I. (of course I already ate a piece of breaded chicken though so maybe none for me!) I have to make an apple coffee cake for tomorrow for DH's breakfast and my MIL will be 63 so I need to make her either a choc. mousse or choc. coconut burbon cake.

Have ya'll ever noticed how much mac n cheese is always mentioned on here icon_lol.gif

well we almost had mac n' cheese tonight but i was thinking ahead and put something in the crock pot mid afternoon.

it is called Quick-Fix layered Chicken Casserole. It took me about 5 mins to put together in the crockpot and oh boy does it smell good. Should be done in about 1 hr so I will stop back in and let you know how it is.

It is boxed scalloped potatoes on the bottom, then layers of Frozen vegetables and chicken breast tenders along with some other seasonings and then a soup/water mixture poured over the top. I hope it is good b/c I will definitely be making it again with how quick it went together.

Hey, Y'all! Took the day off from work today. I had to go to the cake supply and HOBBY LOBBY to get cake stuff. Gah! It wasn't bad at all, but the MONEY you can spend on cake stuff just gets me every time. thumbsdown.gif

I've got a mocha-ganache cake for a birthday due Saturday night, and a bad-ass package-ensemble cake due at 12 on Saturday. That's all well and good--no problem. BUT----BUT---The lady who's ordered the package cake (the badd ass cake) is one of my DS' sub-teachers. He took a book of my pics to school one day, and she CANCELED her order with her regular cake lady and ordered from me. (I told her I would gladly make her another cake someday, and to keep the order with the other bakery owner. She didn't listen, obviously.)

She tells me, "I've only got $75 budgeted for this cake. Even though I certainly know your time is valuable, and this cake is very labor intensive. Your work is so stunning, and if you could help me--I have so many people with so many cake orders for you!"

The cake she wants is indeed labor intensive. It's a 6 inch 3 layer hatbox on top, with the big loopy bow on top. Then a tiny draw-string purse next to it, another 4 inch hatbox and a small package. All of that on TOP of a 9 inch round. I'm going for the "pile of ladies' boxes/packages" look. I know y'all know what I mean. icon_wink.gifWhatever--I'm maybe breaking even on this one. Not by much though, maybe a few dollars. But in the spirit of getting MORE business in the future--I'm doing it. Normally--I'd charge about $200 for this cake group--and I'd get it.

Now---why the long narrative, you ask? SHE'S DRIVING ME ABSOLUTELY BANANA-SANDWICH!! She's called about 3 different times--in the idea of getting everything "just perfect." She's E-MAILED me like 5 times!! She's asked for a PICTURE so she could show her family!!! She's asked about table decor'!!! She's made it explicit as to the flavors!!! She's asked whether I used box-mixes or scratch!!!

I could go on & on... icon_cool.gif Let's just say I'll be EXTREMELY glad when Saturday's over. icon_cool.gif

Ok. My rant is over now! THanks for listening, y'all! So glad to have my cake girls around the table. icon_smile.gif

ZMAMA: You're a better woman than I am. Lawwwd. Habb. Merseh. I'd eat a valium the size of a MOON PIE if I had to deal with two giggly little girls in a mall! icon_lol.gif They're only little once, though.

KOLMAR: I'll take some of that chicken, Girl! And your DD doesn't like OREOS?? Doh! What happened to her? icon_eek.gificon_confused.gif (joking) That's rare, though; a child who doesn't like Oreos.

LEILY: That casserole sounds really good. I'll take some of that too! Get it here quick, so I can have a lil' bit of everything good at once! icon_razz.gif

MONICA: Get over the crud, Dude! Get better quick.

TONIGHT:

(something easy--I'm already baking & squirting.)

Fish sticks & fries
