I came across this reading on another site, and thought I would post here. I'm pretty sure this person is a member here, but I can't remember her screen name. She's using pics from CC...Spottydog, Emmascakes, several others.

Geez, we share so much with each other, I can't imagine why someone would feel the need to steel photos and credit. If it were for advertising purposes, alot of us wouldn't mind so long as it was clearly stated with the name of the creator. That's pretty pathetic.
Hmm...yep I recognize some of those pictures from CC.
Here are some replies to her blog....(for those of you that aren't on myspace)
MANY of these cakes are NOT your creations. Do you not have enough pride in your own work that you have to steal the work of others to pass off as your own? sad.
I was just thinking the same thing! Wow! I recognize MOST of the photos on this site and they are not done by you. The way this usually works is you should ASK people to use their pics and then give THEM the credit for the hard and creativity that THEY put into these cakes. I am sure you just made a mistake and will correct it soon.
You have posted a pic of MY cake--you didn't make it! It's the "Wedding Dress Topper" on page 1. You've also posted many, many cakes that were made by others, including the White Flower Cake Company in Beachwood, OH. You have no right to claim these as your own work. I put hours into that cake and the design and execution are MINE, AND ONLY MINE. Take the photo down, ASAP. For that matter, take down ALL of the photos that aren't cakes you've made--let's see what's left......

You probably couldn't make any one of these cakes if your life depended on it !

Better go to confession soon-- you gshould get a whole lot more than 5 Hail Mary's for your penance for STEALING OTHER PEOPLE'S PHOTOS, WORK, AND IDEAS!

Nicole, here is a word from the wise. You are misrepresenting yourself by showing pictures of cakes that you did not do. You are stealing others' work and passing it off as your own, and that, as we all know, is just not right. All those sugarcraft artists have put loads of time and energy and love into creating those cakes, and when you steal their photoraphs and don't give them credit, well, you invalidate them.

Those cake pics that are NOT your own need to be taken down immediately, before the owners of those photographs take legal action against you.

It's unfortunate that you feel the need to claim other people's work as your own. Many of the photos shown are from White Flower Cake Shoppe in Beachwood Ohio. I'm sure they won't appreciate their hard work being passed off as yours. Many of the other photos are from message boards (I know because I'm a member at those boards!).

Please post only your own work. It is deceitful to claim this work as your own. Not only to the general public, but to your own clients
wow... how pathetic...I bet that none of the cake pics she uses are of her own work...
What color was the bodice cake? I can't view the photos as I'm not a member there. I think there are only 2 3D bodice cakes in our galleries. A black one which I made and the most beautiful green one you ever saw (whom I used her idea) I can't remember the girls name right now but I still can't believe how people take credit where it's not due to them and steel! Like I said before, all they have to do is state the persons name on the photo and asking permission sure wouldn't help. I think most people would be so flattered that naturally they would be more than happy to share.
Oh and look at her "Brite White Buttercream Icing" recipe. She copied it off of Cake Central including the icons for "ingredients", "introduction", and "directions".
hmmm, it's shocking, i seen where one picture has "not mine" & i know for sure who one of the pictures belong to, maybe she got permission.
i sure hope so.
My pictures are up here, on my blog & on my myspace so i realized that people can steal from me, i just hope they'd be honest enought to put "this is not my cake".

Is this your cake?
Thanks for the heads up! I left her a message to please remove my shoe and shoe cake! Flattered that my work was good enough to be stolen but irritated at the fact I was never asked! One of my pics are even watermarked???? Hmmmmm??? Why would someone do that. I really hope they are not being passed off as hers.
oh my gosh! how pathetic. wonder what she will do when someone ask her to make one of her "featured cakes". did she reply to anyone who left her a post on her blog under the "welcome to cakes to dream of"? obviously she isnt too worried about it because she hasnt deleted the comments you guys left.

No she is passing them off as her's. Her blog says "Check out some of my recent cake creations!" The only one that she says isn't hers is one that has someone's name watermarked on it.

Good for you ![]()
When I saw your cake on there my heart sank ![]()
The nerve
Well... it doesn't say anywhere she made them. I guess it's implied since she only gives credit to Colette Peters.
I recognize a picture of a cake made by Andrea7 on CC. It was her Powell Gardens Competition cake. I also recognize a baby shower cake with the intials "JJ" on the front from CC as well as a 6 tier cake that goes from light pink to burgandy with scrolls. Also a 3 tier pink cake with chocolate scrolls.
I think the yellow easter M & M cake belongs to someone here also.

I highly doubt any of the cakes are her own creation, or that anything she's listed on her profile page are correct. She has in her careers that she was a teacher for "way too long", yet she's only 24. How long could she have been a teacher, 3 years max? I pity her for having to make up a life.
It's really sad that someone would do something like this.
Almost every one of those cakes I have seen on CC...Theres the Cars cake thats really long, and several birthday cakes! A few bridal dress cakes, and a booty cake with pink trunks with a heart. Im going to see if i can find the cakes and name the people who made them...
