Rainbow Birthday Cake
My daughter wanted rainbows as her theme for her 16th birthday today. She doesn't like buttercream frosting and I wasn't confident doing this project with fondant, so we compramised and I tried the vanilla cream cheese frosting on this site (awesome stuff!). So that's what the cake is decorated with plus fondant lettering and fondant bow. The inside of the cake is rainbow too

Halloween Birthday Party Topsy Turvy Cake
My first successful "Topsy Turvy" cake. I used the shaped pans that pre-bake them carved so I only had to torte them and carve out the area for each layer to sit on. I'm loving this pan set now. My 15yr old drew the design for my 9yr old's bday cake so we worked as a team. Fondant covered with fondant and buttercream decorations. Doll on top are toys. I'll post my dtr's sketch I used to make the cake too.

Chocolate Rose Mini Cake Cup Cakes
Chocolate cup cakes baked in square brownie pan, placed on half a hershey chocolate bar, frosted in chocolate (#8 tip just rows up and down) and then a chocolate buttercream rose on top. For my daughter's 15th birthday lunch with friends, but can be for just about any occation. Not hard to make, but definitely time consuming with the roses.

Zebra Print Birthday Cake
Using the new Wilton frosting sheets on a buttercream frosted cake. NOT the most ideal thing for an entire side of a cake (the zebra print). I had to use black food coloring to blend the sheets together and merge the lines. Still not as smooth as I'd like, but it turned out ok and it was a learning experience.

Cup Cake Cake
40 cup cakes baked in a square pan (pressed the liners to mold them square first with the pan) then decorated as a cake. They set nicely up against each other baked square, so I was able to get a nice smooth finish to the top of the cake. My dtr loves owls, so I decorated it with a few owls. She took this to school to share with her classmates. They were shocked when she just pulled a cup cake off to serve :)

Cub Scouts Blue And Gold Celebration Cake
Edible images on fondant decorating a buttercream cake for this year's blue and gold ceremony. Saw something similar online and adjusted to add the levels of scouting on the bottom. It was a huge success. I'm going to have a hard time outdoing this design for next year (when my son actually crosses over to boy scouts, and it'll be "his" ceremony).

Pinewood Derby Cake
This year's Pinewood Derby cake. Three of the 3D car cakes, covered and decorated in fondant on top of a sheet cake covered in Buttercream. Center section two tiered to make the "first place" car in a higher spot. Was trying for the effect of when they put the first place olympic winner on the top box, second place lower and third place on the other side. The boys (and parents) really enjoyed it.

Holiday Sugar Cookies
Using a cookie mold, I made many sugar cookies using the "no fail sugar cookie" recipe (which can be found on this site) then placed a Hershey white chocolate kiss with peppermint swirl in the middle to melt. They turned out really cute and they taste INCREDIBLE! Making more for the teachers at my kids schools for next week.
