Styrofoam covered in real buttercream. Corners...practice and patting

I was right the Bride Loves your cake. I'm going to do tiny hearts and larger hearts on the side. Is it OK with you? Also, can you please give me some tips about the ribbon. I'm assuming it must be done at the reception once the layers are put together. I would really appreciate any help hints you would be willing to share. I don't mind if you make a cake in this style. I usually deliver the cake assembled so it really isn't a problem for me. I think it might be very difficult to do it at the reception site.
