Pumpkin And Leaves Wedding
My client basically designed this cake.... its a very cool design but this cake, for alot of reasons, gave me no end to headaches! And its not over yet because I caught the beginnings of some minor bulging on one of the tiers as I was leaving, so I'm still stressed about it. :-) I also think I did overkill on the base tier leaves.

Red Sox Cap
This is also one like a cake I did before, but I did not take a picture of my previous one. However it (the backside of it) was shown in a Philadelphia Brides magazine in a "Real Wedding" because the bride had surprised her groom with it. So this year a bride who saw that wanted to do the exact same thing. I just wish I didn't have to tape my foil in the back....ick.

Fisher Price Cake
This is almost identical to a previous cake I made, but this customer wanted less girly-looking flowers, and I changed the board to a nicer color and took a nicer picture than the first one. So I think I like this one better, except I like the monkey face on my first one better. And I do like the bright flowers on my first one.

Garden And Wolf Cake
The customer specifically asked for a wolf with open, green eyes (so not howling, so you can see the eye color), a moon, a dead tree....and a pretty garden on the bottom tier with a white picket fence. So after trying to figure out how all that goes together, this is what I came up with. I think it turned out better than I expected.

Zebra Pump
This was supposed to be a 3D rendition of a luggage tag, which was the theme of a bridal shower. (I do apologize I was trying to switch around these photos earlier and when I deleted one, the whole thing deleted...so having to reload). I am sorry I did not get a photo of the dowel/wood support I used in this shoe. I should have! Its pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling and vanilla buttercream under fondant. Fun stuff!

Jamaica Golfer
Birthday cake requested by customer....actually after I took this I forgot that I had sketched in a few random stars on wires, so I stuck those in last minute. Didn't take a pic because I don't think they really added much to the cake, and I actually prefer it this way...but since the stars were in my sketch, I dutifully added them. I had more trouble with the flag on this thing.

Going-To-College Cake
Done for a customer who wanted buttercream and who had a lower budget....so its buttercream and airbrushed, and then fondant pieces. I should have done edible images but wasn't able to get them ordered in time. And yes she requested the soccer ball...my husband was like "Howcome you put a soccer ball on an MSU football cake" but its more of a grad cake, and he plays soccer. :-)

Yet Another Toy Story Cake....
Yep its another one. This customer wanted a 3D bed, but didn't want to pay as much (even though looking back, it would probably have not been extra work, really...) so we decided to do the tiers decorated similar to the bedspread with a couple pillows...she gave me all the figurines to put on it. Except her kid loved the potato heads so I went ahead and made those on request. Oh well.

Zebra Print Cupcake Tower
This was ordered by the mom for whom I made the pink monkey tiered cake with a bow, for a baby shower...now its time for baby's first birthday! Mom wanted to make and set up her own stand, so I took this pic and then she took the cakes home and assembled it on her own on a matching decorated stand. She also added cupcake toppers at home, too, I think. She said she'd send me a finished pic. :-) The customer also designed the way she wanted the stuff on the wires to look. (Added finished pic now...she made the toppers and stand herself.)

Lions And Hippos
Unique wedding request...125 cupcakes on the tall tier stand, half with hippos and half with lions. Took forever! I guess "Hippo" is his nickname, and "Lion" is hers. Cupcakes are chocolate with peanut butter mousse filling, covered in a bit of buttercream, then white impression matted fondant circles, then the figures. They weren't perfect due to how fast I had to try to get them done but I think the overall effect is okay.

Wonder Pets
Flyboat made of fondant/gumpaste and airbrushed/handpainted. Ended up a little big so glad I was familiar with the cartoon, so I could add some celery and a message inside to take up room! Figurines provided by customer. Mast a bit sloppy...had to work on structure and some royal icing got sloppy. Cake below is 10" iced in buttercream with fondant clouds and buttercream border.
