White Wonderful Winter Wedding
This is a cake I made for a Dutch cake decorating magazine called Mjam.
My last wedding cake, hope you like it :) Sorry for the crappy picture, I used my phone... the other detailed picture is better! The design was inspired by Kate & William's wedding cake of course.
Beluga is a restaurant in Maastricht, Netherlands with two Michelin stars. They asked me to make a small cake with some glitter and lots of flowers... Iwas nervous as hell of course, but I guess it turned out alright. Hope you like it!
Wedding Cake With Violets
This is a lemon-buttermilk cake (recipe by Dede Wilson!) with dulce de leche, peaches and almond cookies.
Dolce Sposi-Wavy Cake
This cake is called Dolce Sposi, sweet couple, because the happy couple was sooooo incredibly sweet :) I loved making this cake, but I was nervous as hell of course. Hope you like it!
Clementine De Can-Can (Thanks To Colette Peters!!
Again, inspired by Colette Peters, I made this cake. Hope the happy couple was still happy when they saw it :)
Ball Cake - Ferox
This cake was inspired again by Colette Peters.... which I think all cakes are :) It's called Ferox, because it means arrogant in Latin. And I was arrogant, thinking I could make this cake easily. Some things went wrong though, causing the bulge in the upper cake. Luckily the happy couple didn't mind :)
Hilarion - Wavy Cake
This is a blue wavy cake :) The groom asked me to include his wifes necklace in this cake, so I made an example of fondant and then I made a mould with silicone paste. Hope you like it!
Giselle Workshop Cake
In this cake I tried to incorporate alle my workshop examples :) It's a crappy picture, but it will be in a photoshoot on sunday.... so hopefully I'll get some better pictures :)
Obliquus- Just A Pink Topsy-Turvy Cake
It's pink, it's crooked and it's a cake :) Oh.... and it has bows!
Less Is More
Just a simple wedding cake for a bridal show, nothing fancy. It was a real cake, but I guess someone thought it looked fake, so they had to push a finger in the top cake :) I suppose that's a compliment.... :)
This is a test cake, cause I wanted to try out several new techniques. The topper is made with the cricut cake, ornamental iron cartridge. I really loved making this cake :)
Here's my winter cake I made for a very nice couple. Sadly, due to heavy snowfall, I couldn't deliver the cake to the nearby village, and they couldn't come pick it up. So I gave it to my neighbours :)
I made this cake for an art exhibit in maastricht. It was huge: 14-10-8-6-3 inch, and a lot of work since alle the layers are different types of cakes with a variety of fillings. I was so nervous when I deliverd the cake. Everyone was watching when I was stacking the cakes and piping the borders, so it looks a bit crooked (?). It didn't really matter though, since the paintings and other art pieces weren't that smooth and flawless also. I'm still not very happy with the result, but I am proud of my first huge cake :) Hope you like it!
The couple wanted a round pillow cake wit lots of colourful flowers. I named the cake Colette, because I could never have made this cake without Colette Peters discription and inspiration.
This is my first real 3D attempt :) His belly and legs are made of cake filled with lemoncurd, his head and arms are made of rice crispies. The internal construction was a little hard to figure out, especially since Ernie is about 14 inches high and top heavy. I hope you like it! Special thanks to Sesame Workshop Circle c2010
I Thought This Cake For My Step Mother Looked A Little Turkish So I Thanked Her In Turkish For Making My Dad Happy And For Supporting Me Wi
I thought this cake for my step-mother looked a little Turkish, so I thanked her in Turkish for making my dad happy and for supporting me with everything I do!
I made this cake as an example for workshops I'm about to give. After the picture was taken we ate it with friends :)
