1st birthday butter cake. I am not a fan of this cake personally in terms of colour choice (shades of colours and max of 2 colours ) and design (flat buttercream) but it was exactly what the customer requested. Flowers and butterflies are gumpaste.
small oval buttercake with mauve buttercream icing. Gumpaste roses and leaves as requested. Cust wanted small, simple, little decoration and only enough cake for 4. THis will feed several more but any smaller and there would have been nothing to decorate. Buttercream is our least favourite to work with.... never looks neat for us.
11 x 9 inch caramel mud cake covered in mauve fondx with fondant accents. Ordered by a teacher for a teacher who was leaving. There was limited time and little budget so the brief was simple and keep the cost down. It looks a little plain to me but it is what was ordered.

TAKE 2 - of a previous cake I loaded last night. I was not fully happy with it as it did not look finished. I have added a couple of things after some suggestions. THe cake is to celebrate a family participating in an ocean swim that they do annually. 11 x 9 inch white chocolate cake covered in fondant. Piping gel for the water, brown sugar for the sand, all else fondant.

enchanted castle cake for my birthday girls party. Tried to tempt her with something more creative but she said, "just like the one in the book mum" so we did. Buttercake with millions of buttercream stars in two sizes. Could not get buttercream drop flowers to work so settled on fondant cut out flowers. Happy with it, its girly and pretty I think.
Cupcakes for Emma to take to her class she turned 6 todaymy baby is no longer my baby how sad! Buttercake with purple fondant circles and yellow fondant butterflies. Yes I can hear everyone saying. Something is missing. I only just realised myself they have no antennae buts its almost midnight, I am pooped and need to get to bed and they are for kindergarten, I am sure they wont mind well lets hope anyway. 9 inch x 6 inch lemon butter cake covered in light blue fondx. Fondant red stars on side. Dark blue royal icing balls around base. Gumpaste lettering and age and edible image trimmed down. Made for a friend who has a little boy turning 2. She wanted a cake for when we went to visit and asked for small, fast and no fuss. This was simple but as you all know, no cake is fast and no fuss.
