This is one of those cakes that gave us grief, nothing went right... including the colour, I had hoped for a dusty pink and ended up with a salmon colour. Not even the photo's would come out the way I wanted.... I will post a second angle of the cake...
This is a cake we made for one of our girls 7th birthday, she wanted a pretty magical butterfly. Wilton pan was the best way around this... she chose the colours and looks pretty... needless to say she was happy and very little time involved in making it...
My husband has just completed an 8 week (16hrs only) beginners course in cake decorating. This is the cake he made and finished during the course. The types of flowers made were the same by all the students... no choice but the design and presentation was up to each individual... not bad for his first go I think
We were still very new at fondant when we made this as you can tell, but practice makes perfect.... right????
