Apple Cake w/Maple Brown Sugar Glaze

This is my own recipe, I make this recipe at my Bakery, it is for sure, a crowd pleaser. Once you start eating this you can’t stop.


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. soda
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 extra-large egg
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. Maple flavoring

I'm guessing you cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy, gradually the egg and then stir in the rest of the ingredients, cooking at around 180C for 30-45 mins until cooked through. I seem to remember making a similar cake years ago, but might have to give this one a go, although the proper instructions would be lovely to have!
