This carrot cake was made for a good friend's birthday. I knew that he would not want a lot of icing or fondant, so I decided to put the cake into a deco jar to look like soil. This way he can fill the jar with rocks and put the orchid back in once the cake is consumed. The darker layers are chocolate cake crumbs with just a little chocolate cream cheese frosting and rum. The orchid is an artificial flower but I added a few fondant roots and stones. TFL
