Crown Cake

Buttercream with fondant accents. The crown's shape was held up while drying in a bowl filled with flour to support the outward curves, and I kneaded in some GumTex to help it firm up. The gold is luster dust and vodka, painted on. This was my first draping experience and it was easier than I thought. The little rosettes I made with strips of fondant, frilled a bit and rolled up then shaped. The little flowers were just cut and shaped, then dusted in the center with pink and red petal dust.
