This was the first cake that I ever made using fondant. It was for my nephew's 1st Birthday, we call him little rat. Some mistakes I made was placing the wheel of cheese on the cake before cutting out the slice. You can see the imprint that it left. Also you can see somewhat of a smudge on the fondant next to the thin slice of cheese. I learned that buttercream would leave a grease mark on fondant. The last lesson I learned was that Red fondant is hard to make...it turns out pink. I've learned how to fix this now thanks to you guys here at cake central...Thanks!!
