I made this in late June for my granddaughter's first birthday. It was humid and about 110 degrees and the party was outside in a park. I'd had major surgery 10 days before and the cake held up better than I did. I thought a cupcake cake would be a LOT less mess in this setting and was I right! I was thrilled that my bc didn't melt at all. Cupcake cakes are a hit in my book! The cake was WASC and I also made single cupcakes in dk chocolate and spice. Cream cheese bc on all.
