This is the cake for my son's 5th birthday. Mater and Lightning McQueen are rice krispie treats covered in fondant. My son wanted Dinoco McQueen (that's why he's blue and not red.) Cake is simply covered with tinted fondant and then I "painted" the tinted fondant with Wilton gel icing color to really bring out the richness of the colors and add some shine.
