I made this over the hill cake for my Mom's 50 th bday party. It was 1/2 butter pecan and 1/2 marble all covered in buttercream. I made the 50 at the top of the cake with black candles I thought it would help give more of a 3D look and it did. I did all the icing and lettering in color then covered and layered in black to give the "Over the Hill" look. The balloons I bought at a cake store I thought they were cute.
