Both of my cakes posted earlier that were fair entries, took first place in their respective categories! I was so excited! Except for the fact one of the old ladies ( who wouldnt let me set it on the display table myself ) bear hugged my cake to carry it there and cracked the fondant all down one side. When I went to see if i won , it was turned sideways on the display and I was trying to turn it to where the front was toward the room. And saw the damage! Oh well! It was already judged, but I was hoping it would at least look good most of the fair!
Congratulations !! That is so good to hear. Bet that lady will be more careful next time or let people set up their own cakes..
