I bet the divorce lawyers are lining up even as we speak.....

Ka-ching!!

My sympathy is cracking.........I am almost sad for Kate. My opinion of Jon is wavering......... It's all too much. Can't take much more.........(please read that in the form of William Shatner's cheesy acting voice) icon_biggrin.gif

I heard on my radio show this morning, and I can't verify this information with anything else, but anyways, they said IF they did get divorced, it would a 10 million dollar divorce. Also said that they are having financial strains at this point. icon_confused.gif

My DH walked in while I was watching and stood there staring at the tv and said, "I hate...wait, no, that's not right...I despise that woman" and walked out.

If it did come out that Jon cheated (which I think he did) she will rake him over the coals. He might as well bend over now!!!

Hey how come Gloria Allred isn't butting her nose into this situation? She's always looking for a reason to be on the news giving her 2 cents!! Maybe it's just for California? Anyways, I cannot believe that one of the higher ups in PA haven't checked into child labor laws or that they are not trying to get them into play? It's kind of like watching a train wreck. I for one have quit watching.

I just read that the PA Dept of Labor is now investigating a complaint filed with them.
Wonder if it was her brother and his wife that filed it?

this is like a train wreck. and I can't keep my eyes off.
I do have to say, I tend to be a bit bossy...to my husband also. I do tend to correct him if he is wrong (and he usually is) wow, glad I don't have a camera watching my every move....my bossyness gets worse that time of the month) I don't have eight little kids, but do have 4 of different ages and run a business by myself. anyway, my point is that if the camera followed me and my family around, we'd give ol' bossy Kate a run for her money.
I feel bad for her.
also, if I were interesting enough to follow around with a camera, and support my family....I'd do it in a heart beat!
I don't know the whole story, maybe she is horrible, but she has 8 little ones to support.

all I'm sayin'

I read an article today that they signed up for another 40 episodes after this season. If that's the case Jon better stop complaining how he doesn't want to do the show anymore.

I agree...a train wreck.

I watched a special on the E network last night about them. wow, she does ream him and talk down to him a LOT. I take back my former comments about myself being a bit bossy to hubby. she is way over the top. poor guy.

I have the new shows on from last night on dvr. I'll watch them tonight of Kate plus 8.
who is she going to yell at if hubby is not there?

So sad that she feels like she can just pick up and leave with only one kid. For a VACATION! "You want to go across the country to San Diego? Sure lets go!" She can't even complain about how her kids slip and accidently call her ther babysitter's name, when she does stuff like this. You can't have it both ways, Kate. Did you hear her talk about how it may SEEM like she does everything for herself, but she is always thinking of the kids? Puh-Leeze.
And I usually have much more patience with Jon, but not after just picking up and going skiing, just to go (although I loved the part about helping the disabled, I just think that is such a unique thing!). IT is sooo obvious that Jon and Kate are hardly ever home at the same time. One parent is home while the other is gone.

I saw that about them signing on for 40 more episodes.
bet Jon is hating that.

although, if the money is coming and people are watching, more power to them.

Kids are probably confused.... so moms home, dads gone. dads home, mom is gone.

I think TLC should make them go to marriage counceling

of course that wouldn't give them the ratings that are sky rocketing.

They have hooked up with Orange County Choppers, Emrill L, Duff & AOC, it's just obscene what they have gotten.

Yeah, there live is so far from normal, its sickening. And I wonder which dentist offered their services for free so Maddie could have perfect teeth?

I have heard a lot of people are boycotting the show, in hopes that TLC will yank them off the air and let them focus on rebuilding their marriage and get their family life back to normal. That's not great for ratings, though.

What I'm tired about in this whole thing is the fact that Jon seems to be getting a free pass, and everyone's turned their pointing fingers at Kate. It was his cheating that started all this, but now everything seems to be about what a bitch she is. How is being bitchy worse than cheating on your wife? Neither one is looking good these days, but he should get some of the blame and not have everyone blame her for everything.

I feel sorry for the kids, and if TLC had any ethics at all they'd just pull the show. I never liked watching it because there are always too many kids screeching, but I think that nobody watches it other than to see the train wreck these days.

My tolerance for kids is diminishing every day. I do home daycare so I am around kids day in and day out. If I go grocery shopping and some kid is having a temper tantrum I pretty much leave my cart and go home. AND I can stand when parents try to reason with the kids. Holy crap, get them the he** out of the store and let people shop in piece! I was at a store last night and a little girl (maybe 3-4) spun the sunglass display thingy completely around really fast (it was kinda funny cause I wasn't my kid who did it) but the mom just smiled, teehee'd and did nothing. The poor salesgirl had to pick up at least 50 pairs of sunglasses while the mom & kid just continued shopping.

Yup, I tuned out due to the kids screeching, Kate's bitchiness and Jon's lack of b*lls & backbone!!

How funny. We were in a beauty store last week and some woman knocked down one of those spinny-thingies full of headbands and barrettes...AND KEPT WALKING!!

My DH was waiting for me with my 3 year old twins and he looked at the lady as she WALKED OUT OF THE STORE (I'm yelling because of how jacked up I thought it was). He looked at the children and said, "Well, some people are just rude. Let's help clean this up for the people who work here". The salesgirls saw the whole thing and were in shock. They thanked them profusely.

My DH used it as an opportunity to teach my children: #1- how to act like you got some sense, and #2- to clean up messes (even if you don't always make them) . I wish my kids would throw a temper tantrum! We definitely don't play that.

Wow the water thing was a little unbelievable. Yes I can understand not wanting all of the kids asking for a drink right before you go on camera, but why ask for a bottle of water for YOURSELF, take a big sip and then deny your kids any of said water. I think most parents (myself included) would happily die of dehydration if it meant having something to drink for their kids. icon_eek.gif

Wow. That is just wrong. I love how she siiiiiiips the drink, and just ignores her daughter. Wow. What a b.

On a funny note, my 3 year old daughter has the worst habit of yucky backwash. Gross I know. (you should see her water bottles when she is done with them.) My husband and I always do rock-paper-scissors when she asks to share our drinks, because we don't really want to share with the "backwash beauty". However, even though it is super gross when she does that, we would never deny her a drink if she was thirsty.

The only defense I can think of is time constraint and not having enough time to give all 8 a sip, which of course they all would have asked for.

I have four sons who are just big ol' cootie bugs, so we've invented the "waterfall". You pour the drink...normally water...into their mouths, lol. They think it's fun! icon_lol.gif

I understand that some kids just ask for things because they are bored or want attention and don't really need what they are asking for-but really
Those kids are sitting, waiting for the crew to completely set up for the interview. They are WORKING! for a lot of money. What place of work can any of us think of where you can be denied WATER. They are sitting under really hot lights. If all 8 of them want drinks, postpone the shot for 3 minutes and give them drinks of water.
These kids need a child advocate to be on the set. It doesn't seem like their parents or TLC is looking out for their best interest all the time.
I have never watched an entire episode but now I have my interest peaked just to see what over the top gift these millionaires will receive this week! Right now Jon is getting a new motorcycle built for him by the stars of another reality show. Last time I channel surfed past there was Ace of Cakes Duff making cakes with the kids. Please someone PM me if they go and meet the Queen of England. I saw her myself once on a trip to London and I'm fascinated by royalty. Yeah-crazy American, that's me.

Now Kate is in trouble for hitting or spanking one of the kids.
first of all, I've had to spank my kids a time or two. I have an 18 and 16 year old who in their day got spankings. BUT if the cameras are on you full time, and people are already investigating you for child labor laws and the general public is starting to hate you....... you should not lose your cool and hit your child in front of the cameras!!!

what was she thinking?

I do think that the stress of her hubby running after young women and leaving her home with all those kids, I can see where she may loose it occasionally.
but doesn't she have baby sitters or help there? the incident was over the little girl tooting a horn over and over and not obeying mom when she said to stop.

Lord, this is like a train wreck.
speaking of train wreck... anyone heard anything from Octomom lately?
hehe
