Welcome Lori!

Well, I've taken the kids to the park the past two days so I've gotten alot of cardio exercise in.

My finish line ~ I want to have a Smokin' sexy body to show off at my husband's 30th bday party. I'm throwing him a surprise party and it will be a costume party all the women are to dress up like 40/50's pin ups (ya know the ones WITH clothes LOL)... I will be inviting work ppl, old HS friends and such to this party and I want to be SMOKIN' I want all his friends to be like "DAMN how did you get a wife that HOT" (pardon the language). I have time thus not always enthusiastic attitude.

Great news, Merissa!!! It's all starting to come together for you!!

Welcome Lori. We seem to have lost a couple of members recently, so it's great to gain more! I'd love to see your document too. I'll PM my email address.

When I'm at my finish line I'll be looking back thinking, "why didn't I just get stuck into dieting and get here quicker???" I'm knitting myself a winter jumper and it's turning out to be a little smaller than I wanted it to be, so that is my new incentive for weight loss. I want to be able to fit into my jumper by the time I'm finished knitting it!

This is frightening...this is embarrassing! Okay so I havent weighed myself in awhile because I just didnt want to know. I am back up to 155! Why did I let myself do that! I think I am mostly embarrassed (not by my weight) but by my lack of consistency. Well I guess I have got to get back on the weight loss train here. If I would have just stuck to it I would have been there by now! Just like sonia said! I loved your finish line ideas! So funny connie! Of course those 40's 50's girls were often a little beefier anyway!

WEll I still have almost 2 months until my summer vacation...so there is still time. Hmmmm that seems like deja vu.....I think I have said that before!!

Goals:
1. Back to exercise routine (DH been out of town this week so I have missed a couple of workouts) 4-5 days a week.
2. Drink 64 ounces of water daily
3. Limit the holiday eating...seriously this time
4. Actually EAT the healthy foods I bought.

Well I got myself another piece of equipment icon_biggrin.gif . My dad is retired now, so he needs to keep busy. So he has been hunting out stuff for me. he showed me a new bakery tray rack (is that what they are called?) anyway he said if I liked it they would get it for me for my b-day! I said of course! I also got this over ebay! What great deals!

Merissa, I am so excited for you! It is so nice to find what you want at a decent price.

I am down by .2 pounds today. At least I haven't gotten that usual swing up by 2 pounds.

My finish line is sitting on a beach in Florida with my husband and being able to wear a swimsuit and not be self concious about my flabby stomach.

I see a bit of progress there.

Goals for this week:

Continue the small meals every three hours. It seems to be working for me.

Water, Water, Water

Vitamins

Cut out the added sugars and add in more vegetables and fruit during the day

I am hoping any day for this weather to break so that I can get outside and do some gardening for some extra exercise. Tomorrow I have to dig up my lilacs to give to my sister on Saturday morning along with tiger lillies and I think I am going to be giving her my tulips and a few other surprises, too. It is either dig them up and give them away or leave them here and let the next person do whatever they will with them. They need a good home.

Well, I should go now and get ready for work. Have a great day, all!

WAHOOO on everyone's losses!

Merissa it's great you are getting so much of your supplies and that's awesome of your dad to help you out.
and yes, I realize that most of the 40/50's pin ups had more curves but the outfits I'm finding (at my price range) are made for skinny ladies. I mainly need to work on my thighs and abs really but I'm so limited on ab exercises w/ all of my back issues so it makes it harder. I have found some ab exercises but frankly I'm lazy LOL...

Karen good luck w/ all of that gardening, I have a black thumb so I kill everything but love a pretty yard icon_sad.gif

Hi Everyone~
Just a quick note, welcome Lori! I usually try and post daily, but I'm on vacation and won't get to, but when I return next weekend, I'll be back on regularly. I have a but more weight to lose than you, but I can appreciate what you're going through. I've been seriously working on my weight loss since January 2 of this year...you'll get there, I know it's hard to get started. I anticipate it will take me at least another year to lose all I want to.

I made it...what a trip. From the time I woke up Wednesday morning until the time I laid my head on the pillow in san antonio, 27 hours had passed. I was beyond exhausted. But I'm happy to be here and so far, so good food wise. But I'm definitely out of my comfort zone and feeling a bit overwhelmed with the choices (and why am I all of a sudden starving?), But I'm trying and my only goal is to maintain, not to lose this week.

I don't know how often I'll be checking in, but at least a few times. My sisters and I are going to the lake house tomorrow and staying there until Sunday (party is Saturday), so unless someone brings a laptop, it'll likely be next week. I miss you!

Good to hear from you, Susan! Glad it's going well. Just do the best you can this week, you can get back to normal later!!

Lori, thanks for the eating plan. It looks great. I've printed it out, and thought I might send it to my SIL as well!! And well done on losing 2 lbs on the first day...you must have put in a lot of effort!!!!

I forgot to weigh myself as well, Michelle. I slept in and it was a mad rush to get the kids ready for school, so I weighed myself this morning. I can't actually remember my exact weight from last week. It was up, but I weigh myself in kg, then convert to lbs, and I just can't remember, but I know I'm about the same as last week. If my weight is down, it's only by about .2!

So I'm taking over as cheerleader today. (Hopefully it will help me lose!) My first challenge is to choose an extra day this week as a no-cheat day. It can be whichever day suits you.....mine will be today! (Weekends are too hard!) 2 no-cheat days should give us a boost, I hope!

So for all of us who are dragging our feet, let's get into gear and get motivated. Let's aim for this to be a big losing week! Exercise every day....no excuses (even if it's cleaning windows, scrubbing walls, pulling weeds) drink that water, and kick those fat cells and show this cellulite who's boss...........

Susan,

It is good to hear from you. I am glad you got to your destination alright. You are starving because you are exhausted. You'll be fine this week, just control portions. We'll miss you, too.

I think I'll do Tuesdan and Wednesday as no cheat. Today is out already this morning.

Well, I'd betterr go. The computer took half an hour to log in and I am a bit behind today.

Have a great day, all!

My no-cheat day didn't go as well as planned, but I did pretty well today. I'll try to have another on Monday. Tuesday's out, because I have a son having a birthday that day.

How are you all going with your exercising??

How was everyone's weekend?? I've done pretty well with my eating habits, but my exercise has been lacking a bit.....

My husband has had major back problems over the weekend, and we spent all Sunday afternoon looking for someone to treat him. He's had something clicked back into place, but the nerve will still be irritated for a while, so he's still in pain. It has been like having an extra child to care for! I guess it's given me a bit extra exercise icon_rolleyes.gif

Everyone is so quiet! Where are you all????

It's my middle son's 7th birthday today. It's been such a hectic day, and I'm exhausted!! I almost finished his cake last night, and was going to finish it off this morning while he was at school, but hubby's back was still playing up, and I had to take him to town for more treatment (he has a big contract worth $4,000 a day starting tomorrow and he's determined to be there!) So his cake was a bit of a rush job in the end. His party was planned in a park after school, and it poured with rain all day, so we moved it to a nearby hall. Had to organise some last minute games for 23 kids and it was SOOOOOO chaotic! I'm glad the day is over!

How are you going with your extra no-cheat day??? The other thing I would like you to do, is tell us on Thursday, how much you have lost since finding this thread. I had lost 9 lb, but I'm just about back up to where I started - very depressing!!

Hello! I am still here! Now that our holiday weekend is over, I feel ready to get back on track now. I didnt really eat out this weekend, which is pretty good for me! I also got up and had a pretty good jog. I need to keep going if I want to do the 5K next month.

I think I will make today and tomorrow my 2 no cheat days (well I guess I have to, since it is the last two days this week LOL)

What theme was your son's party, sonia? I will have to check for your cake!

I made 3 cakes this weekend, so I was pretty caked out. But I am ready now for more!

Good morning all.

Back to work today. I really need another day or two off.

Today is my second no cheat day. This weekend did not go so well. I didn't keep to my eating plan at all starting on Friday. Of course, with the other secretary gone I do not get away from my desk. I haven't even had a lunch since Thursday. I hope they realize that they owe me three hours.

Hope everybody had a good holiday weekend!

Talk to you all later!

Hi all

Susan we had a holiday yesterday so everyone was probably doing family stuff. I on the other hand did homework and then was sick in the afternoon and evening.

Today is my 2nd no cheat day, then I guess tomorrow is also another no cheat day woo hoo a double whammy.

The weekend was ok on my eating, and I kept up with my work outs even yesterday.

I bought a heart rate monitor so I can track better the calories that I burn while working out. I noticed that I burn twice as many as my machine said I did. Very interesting, I am doing some research to see if my monitor is perhaps defective.

Ok gotta run and get some work done.

Michelle

Morning all!

Hope everybody has a great day. I did ok yesterday for my no cheat day but today I took too long to water the plants and ended up not having time to grab something to eat. I will still get my small meals and my vitamins but no breakfast before I left home. Have to take care of my seeds, you know.

It has gotten cold here again. It was 42 degrees here when I left the house. Almost the beginning of June and still cold.

Well, gotta go and get prepared to get to work. Talk to you all later. Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning everyone

We had that cold weather the end of last week and the weekend. We are back up to the 100's.

My treadmill is about to bite the dust. It got stuck in the incline position and the speed read out is wrong. Where I usually put it and it reads 3.0 now reads 4.2. I guess this will force me to do something else and get out of my rut!!!

I did pretty well on my no cheat, I stayed with in all of my ranges on SP so I was very happy about that. I will do just as well on todays no cheat!!

OK gotta run bye
