Yep! I'm playing hooky!! It would be nice to get out tonight but a friend called earlier and wants a 50th cake for her mom so I'm going to stay in and look at cake books and CC galleries for inspiration. Supper is in the oven: baked cod, sweet potatoes and peas. I am cheating a bit as I put a little pineapple and brown sugar in the potatoes foil packet!

oh man, I need to go to bed. I just spent the longest time looking for our thread when I realized I was in the 'general' forum. LOL!
BIG victory tonight! I didn't snack at all...in fact, I just realized that I never even thought about it! I spent all night (trying to) make a fondant figure. Guess I need to do that more often!!

Hi everyone! Well I had a little set back in the diet yesterday. I wouldnt say I ate a lot, but not great choices. I had to attend a reception thing and I didnt get a chance to eat dinner first. (plus I was still hungry from not eating my moldy lunch) So I ended up eating like 6 meatballs and some cubes of cheese, oh and 3 brownies (they were tiny bite size brownies, but still) I am feeling a bit deflated this week because I have kept to my diet (except yesterday) all week and I dont think I have lost any weight. I was so excited about my rapid loss last week that I am a little disappointed this week. I guess I just need to wait it out, I know these things happen, I am still going to keep going...and going! I still have a day until weigh in, maybe something magical will happen overnight!

You know what I am now thinking....before, when I wanted to loose weight, I went on a diet and I lost weight. Eventually I would gain some back, but then I would go through the cycle again and loose it. I never really let myself go too far. But now I am having so much trouble loosing the weight that I am realizing I can never really let myself gain weight again! It is just too hard to loose it now!

I feel you, Merissa. Used to be whenever I gained a few pounds, I could just cut back for a week or two and lose it. I think age is getting to me. And it's only going to get worse, so I'm with you. When we reach our goals, we really need to work hard to stay there!

icon_eek.gificon_confused.gif I am deff not going to snack today. My throat is raw my chest burns and my whole body aches like I don't even know what! But on the good side I did pretty well yesterday except about 7 fries from Mc.d's that I snatched off my 2 year old plate. icon_rolleyes.gif When I got the munchies last night I ate 2 braburn apple and drank my crystal light! I have been doing my exercises pretty regularly and my water really isn't a problem any more but food sounds horrible today. So I guess the small victories are still victories right? Congrats on all you guys for sticking it out! thumbs_up.gif

I'm sorry...I feel like I have been slack this week in my cheerleader duties. I've been pretty wrapped up in a few other things I have going on...busy week.
Ladies...we are only one day away from weigh in, all of us have had a pretty good week, despite a few setbacks...we can do this! Who's with me for a FANTASTIC, NO CHEAT WEDNESDAY???

I am in total agreement on the maintenance plan. It's the only way to not have to keep going through the ugly fat cells cycle.

merissa,

I'm 46 and it's so much harder to lose and keep it off then it was in my 20's & 30's, especially with menopause lurking around the corner. I hate it that we have to be so dang careful about what we put into our mouth and exercise is a must not a maybe! The good thing is that tomorrow is another day, with no mistakes in it!! Good luck everyone on no-cheat Wednsesday!!

Yikes! I cheated on no-cheat Wednesday! I cheated a lot yesterday too icon_redface.gif Yesterday we tried out a new cookie recipe for the Chocolate Festival that I found on the Food Network site. It's called Super Gooey Chocolate Drops, and they are GOOD. Very good. Very rich and chocolatey. I ate 5 of them yesterday and one this morning. Thankfully I'm going out to run errands when DS goes to school & then we have swimming after school so I won't be home most of the day to be tempted.

I'm a little worried about how the rest of my day is going to be since this morning has been so bad. My dh took my car into the shop so I had to drive his, I couldn't get the garage door to close so I closed it from the house and then went out the front door. Got my daughter to school and realized that when dh picked her up yesterday he also brought home her tennis shoes. I had to go back home but when I got there the garage opener still didn't work and there were no house keys on his key ring. Anyway, I was late for work and ended up getting a biscuit for breakfast. No cheating for the rest of the day though, I didn't exercise this morning for nothing!

We decided to put our house on the market so my nights are going to be filled with house cleaning so that should help with any night time snacking issues.

See you back here tomorrow.

I am eating 3/4 cup bran cereal with 1 cup skim milk and 1/2 of a banana...4 points (I get 22 per day).

Oh, I got this water jug at the dollar tree. It is 70 ounces. I filled it last night and put it the fridge so it would be nice and cold for today. I am trying to increase my water intake.

Everyone stay strong today...if you fall off the horse, get right back on!

Lisa, I'm going to pretend that I never heard about those cookies...otherwise I will have to make them and eat them all!! icon_redface.gif

Ok, lunch was tuna with a tsp of FF mayo and some capers in it on double fiber wheat bread. Oh, an a small apple. This bread is 0 points! (I actually think it could almost be negatve points!) and I'm out of salad stuff, so I will get a big salad at work this evening. And some steamed mixed veggies with, hopefully, some grilled fish.

Working at a restaurant has it's ups and downs. The bad stuff, is tempting (MMMMM....pecan pie....my FAVORITE!!!!! It is reserved fro Thanksgiving and Christmastime only!!!)
But they always have salad stuff and veggies and other healthy choices. It's just picking these that sux!

Shellie, it's No Cheat Wed, right? I'm trying to be good! AND I just realized what week it is, if you know wht I mean. Tomorrow should be my first day, not good for my first weigh in after getting back on my plan! Diuretics, here I come! Plus I've been cranky and mean to the kids today. It's a snow day and I didn't even take the little one outside.

Okay, I cheated on no cheat wednesday...sort of. I had a bag of Combos from the machine. BUT (here's my excuses) I didn't have breakfast, and I have to use my lunch hour to go to the doctor today, so I won't have time for lunch either. So, really, it was only 240 calories for two meals...guess that wasn't too bad. I swear, they were the healthiest thing in that darn machine!

Hello one and all, I'm back from the dead, AND five pounds lighter. I weigh 216! I just want to put that out there to see how it feels because I'm sure now that food isn't totally repulsive and my body isn't working so hard to kill off the germs, it'll go right back up in no time.

2sday if you feel like that for more than 2 days go to the doctor, that's exactly what my Entire family had and it turned out to be bronchitis with a touch of something special in all of us (my little extra was a sinus infection)

Anyway I'm back, well mostly, and glad to see your smiling faces? icon_confused.gif - or avatars anyway. icon_biggrin.gif I'm celebrating no cheat Wednesday with an actual homecook dinner, once I figure out what we have left for food.

Think positive, Rambo!! YOU WILL NOT put those five pounds back on!!! It doesn't seem fair that it takes a severe illness to lose a little weight!! I've done pretty good today: cream of wheat, REAL juice, water, Luna bar and weight watchers yogurt! DH and I eat out on Wednesday but we will split a meal and drink water.

Shelbur10, remember to drink lots of water with those Combos as they are loaded with salt!!

Glad you are feeling better Amber! maybe you wont gain it back. I know it is hard though after you are sick. Seems like you only have one meal and the weight is right back on.

I am going to course 3 tonight. Actually i dont really want to go. Hopefully I wont do much bc licking. i made the class buttercream though (not my fav, so hopefully I can stay away from it!) I stayed out too late last night and I am tired today! I went out with a friend and we ended up in a coffee shop until almost 11, then I had to drive 45 minutes home. What was I thinking? I am not a night person, plus the road are still slick and snowy around here. OH AND tonight LOST starts up again (big fan) and it isnt on until 10! That is so late for me! Maybe i will try to take a little nap while my son is watching a movie.
