Sorry to hear you're sick, Amber! But at least your little guy is getting better.
Monika, I definitely DO count running up and down the stairs as exercise!
Don't worry, Merissa, those couple of spoonfuls are so much better than a couple of pieces of cake!!
Stay strong ladies, resist the football snacks tomorrow! thumbs_up.gif

Sorry you are sick Amber! Oh well, maybe you wont eat naughty food then!

Good luck during the game folks! I am not going to a party, but to my parents, so there wont be too many temptations there. I went to the store this afternoon (shouldnt have gone because we have been having a blizzard here since friday and it is 2 degrees out, but I HAD to get out and get some healthy food) anyway I watched a lot of chips and beers being carted around. Wish that was me! I am thinking I will allow myself a treat for valentines day..maybe a nice dinner and some goodies. I just kept thinking that while I was shopping...just wait until valentines day!

Well somehow I haven't been getting my usual snacking on! Did pretty good this weekend. No cake or cookies floatin around here so that helped alot. We went out to lunch yesterday but I had 2 mini muffins worth of cornbread and just apples at the restaurant with a diet coke. Our food came cold and they were out of what we had originally gone there to get, so the temptations weren't present. Funny, I was actually relieved at the bad restuarant service and lack of hot food. icon_rolleyes.gif They compt our bill so at least we didn't have to pay for that awful meal. Sounds like congrats are in order for all this weekend! thumbs_up.gif Welcome strawberry0102!!!! YAY!!! More reasons to be fatbusters!!!!! Have a blessed Monday and try to keep warm girls.....BBBBBRRRR it's -5 here! icon_surprised.gif

Morning ladies! Rambo, sorry to hear you're sick, but just think of all the food you're not eating - LOL!

I was way wrong about my ability to watch football without eating. I thought it couldn't be done, but I watched the game last night without eating a thing. Sadly I can not attribute that to any amazing willpower, but to a stomach virus that DS brought home from school icon_sad.gif He came home sick on Thursday & the rest of us got it on Friday night. We spent all day Saturday lying on the sofa anticipating death. Yesterday was better, but not enough to make me want to eat much of anything. But on the upside, I lost 4 pounds in 24 hours icon_rolleyes.gif I'm sure at least some of that will come back as soon as I start eating and drinking normally - whenever that is.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

-Lisa

You know, it is really sad when I about half-wish I would get sick so I wouldn't want to eat!! OMG! Seriously, though, I am sorry you're feeling bad, Lisa. Sounds like we all had a pretty good weekend. DH made steak and salad for dinner last night. (real fun eating steak in your lap while you're watching the game!) But I only ate half my steak and had two helpings of salad. I DID have a small piece of pineapple upside down cake, though. All in all, not too bad.

Hi all! I did well this weekend, partly due to the fact that I was stuck at home due to the weather and we didnt have too much food! Still snowing here and frigid, so I wont be getting out to the gym any time soon either. I guess I will have to do extra well on the diet portion!

sorry to hear everyone is getting sick. I had a minor cold this past week, but it definitley didnt stop me from eating!

Hi, my name is Christeena, and I'm a chocolate/pepsi addict! At 5'2", I weigh in at a whopping 170 lbs. Had yearly physical last week and cholesterol was up to 271 so now I am on a statin. I am a grazer since I am a SAHM for the most part. I eat out of boredom and I find it nearly impossible to get on my recumbant bike in the basement that sits in front of a T.V. I am at high risk for heart disease but lack motivation so I came here to this thread to seek out fellow CC'ers and hopefully lose some weight in the process. My goal for the week is too avoid pepsi, glazed donuts and get on my bike at least 3 days this week!

Welcome Christeena! I'm so excited we are getting more members! Heaven knows we can all use all the support we can get icon_biggrin.gif
Our only rules are to be positive, supportive and honest. We have recovery Mondays, no cheat Wednesdays and weigh in Thursdays. On Thursdays we also set our goals for the week, but I see you've already done that. Jump on here anytime you need a little support, seems like one of us is always here!
Tuesday, Congrats on winning the cookie battle!! Keep those fat cells on the run! thumbs_up.gif

Check this out. We have no snow here, none expected, but all the surrounding school districts (not ours, thank goodness) delayed school for 2 hours because it's COLD. icon_confused.gif Are they crazy???

Thanks, for the warm welcome! It's 1 degree here and my DS has not had school for the last two days. We have very little snow but the wind chill is like -15 to -30 and the districts decided it was too cold for kids to walk to school or wait for a bus!! I have my first Wilton class (fondant/gumpaste) tonight so at least I will be able to get out of the house for awhile!! Today, I WILL geton my bike and go for 30 minutes!!

I have worked it off little by little and slowly.... icon_cry.gificon_rolleyes.gif I am down to 126 now and am working to get to 119. Which was my goal originally. So keep it up and we'll all get there Ladies....cause we got people! PUTTING DOWN THE CAKE...PEOPLE! thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

I laid down the law with DH today. I'm home with a sick kid, so I told him I was going to work out. He blew a freakin' gasket! Okay, I really shouldn't be working out with my back problem, it will probably aggravate it. So I agreed not to do any workout until I talk to the dr, BUT I told him I will not buy any more junk or have anymore baked goodies in the house. Nothing at all. If it's here, I will eat it! He agreed...since he has about 50 lbs to lose, too...he just needed someone to tell him what to do, LOL

I feel your pain, shelbur10,!! My Dh and my DS could both stand to lose some weight also, so I have been weaning us off of chips, and other junk food. We are basically lazy here at my house and will use any excuse not to MOVE our butts!! (unless it's to the kitchen!!)
Hubby had lost 20 lbs. last year and I could actually sleep with him because it really helped cut his snoring back! BUT it's all back on and then some so I am on the couch again!

I feel ya, christeena! My DH has sleep apnea, so between the roof shaking snores, I lie in bed and wait for him to start breathing again...SCARY!! We both need to drop the weight and set good examples for our kids.

Remember how I told you all that my dh said that he was fat and I invited him to lose weight with me? Over the last week I have not noticed any difference in his portions, he still drinks pop, he eats dessert and the only physical activity he has done is to shovel the driveway (which I did as well) and he lost 4 pounds last week. I so wish I could lose weight like that, no fair.

My water has been bad this week and my poor hands and feet are telling the story. I think my problem is that I can't drink water unless it's COLD and since it's been so freezing here and I can't get warm, it's hard to motivate myself to actually drink something that cold.

See you all again at weigh in when I hope we all have good news to share.

okay so my mom called to see if I wanted to take the kids to the mall for lunch and to run around a bit in the play area (since weve been stuck inside for days, I know many of you are in the same boat) Anyway, I think I am being really good, I get a grilled chicken salad. It's good, but I can sort of taste the dirt on the lettuce a bit, you know a couple of grains. i am not a complainer, it is just a little joint in the mall, not a fancy restaurant. So I continue to eat it, but I start to notice that some of the cheese is a little green. I start to loose my appetite for it at this point. The waitress feels bad and takes it off of the bill, but i really havent had much to eat now. Them my mom and kids get desserts, so I am hungry and I end of sampling more than I should have. Oh well.

I did it!! I just got off my bike! 30 minutes and at each ten minute interval, I wanted to get off!! But I just kept saying - "5 more minutes, just 5 more minutes"! Now I have to decide if I should brave the weather and go to class 1 of gumpaste/fondant! I'm torn 'cause everything she will go over, I already know how to do! It's the flowers, I want to work on!! The police are telling people to stay home off the roads. It's a 20 minute drive for me to Michaels in good weather, let alone snow-covered roads and 7 degrees!!

I'm back! I did great this weekend and then yesterday I went out of town to help my best friend do some ceaning for cash and she was TOTALLY off the wagon! I had a veggie sub and a few fries for lunch and a third of a meatball sub for dinner and then like 2 servings of goldfish...oh and don't forget the cookies she made me eat...

Today I had a grilled chicken sandwich from Burger King and an undressed salad and have been munching. Anyway, I will get back on tomorrow. Even if we get the 4 inches of snow they are expecting.
