Next weekend I'm attending the first day of a 2 day gumpaste flower class OUT OF TOWN...I've never done an out of town class except work related. I'm even going the day before for some ALONE time!!! Wow, I know it's not a big deal but just wanted to share. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

I think it is a big deal and you should be excited. After all, how often do you have time to yourself and be able to do something you enjoy!!

Good for you!!! Enjoy every minute of your time!

I get my time in August as I am going away to a 4 day chocolate class... can not wait!!

Ya!! That's wonderful news!! Show us pics! I'm going to the ICES Convention in Nebraska on the 25th & I'm sooo excited!! I would pack my bags now but DH won't let me LOL icon_smile.gif Enjoy your trip & bring us back a lot of info thumbs_up.gif

Yes have a great time and learn a lot. Let us know what you learn I wouldn't mind comparing some notes. I start a gum paste class next Saturday (in town icon_smile.gif ) 2 1/2 hrs for 4 weeks.

I am leaving on Monday for a week long class with Nick Lodge and I am nervous! I have never flown alone before or been away from my family this long before! I needed this thread as I am excited about the class but nervous about the evenings and such!

I fly alone quite a bit for work...it can be really exciting! Especially when you get that "completely free" feeling!

It sound brilliant! Hope you enjoy immensely... I have just had two stints of 4 and 5 weeks alone without my DH in a matter of 3 months. He is due back on Saturday night and I am seriously considering a trip for myself. The problem is that I live in South Africa and there is not a lot of option regarding "out of town" classes. I live in Gauteng which is the business hub of SA and hence I am right in the thick of most of the "cake activities" in SA. icon_cry.gif No going away for now ...
