I decided I wanted to work at a bakery. I had tried places like Wal-mart and HEB but you have to have experience or have schooling and I have neither. So I heard about a job opening at a bakery here in town that is a little expensive but does beautiful work. It is called Sweet Memories. So I took my portfolio and went to talk with the owner. I walked in asked to see the owner and spoke with her a little then showed her my pictures. She hired me on the spot! She said she had the hours I needed and anything I didn't know how to do they would teach me! I am so excited I could have just kissed her! So I start in a few weeks when things pick up for Valentines day and wedding season. Then after we talked a little more and I told her a few people I had done cakes for she said she had heard of me. Can you believe it? Me. a nobody has been heard of. I am just too excited. Anyway, Thanks for listening to my news.

You too could do the same thing. ozzynjojo, I am sure you do beautiful work and I would love to see some. Please post some pictures of your creations

mamastacy, you do great cakes and I don't think anyone would have a problem with hiring such a talented person.
