Graduation Cake With Geometric Pattern And Gumpaste Roses
My niece didn't want a "graduation-y" cake for her party. She requested music, roses and black/red school colors. I took inspiration from the monogram on her graduation announcement and added white-on-white lettering around the board giving a nod to the college she'll be attending in the fall. I was thrilled to find a template in Jessica Harris' Craftsy store that was nearly identical to the geometric design I had sketched. Even using the waxed paper transfer method, it took forever to attach all of the curved diamonds and dots.

Harry Potter - Book Of Spells Cake
Harry Potter – Book of Spells Cake I loved doing this one. I decided to do the shield in 2d and actually make it rather than the edible print. Happy with the results. The birthday girl's dad's jaw just dropped when he saw it! He was amazed! :) All edible and handmade. Thanks for looking.

Peach And Silver Anniversary Cake
Created for a 25th wedding anniversary. Airbrushed wafer paper for the roses and leaves. Tried the pleated buttercream look (really like), and airbrushed it a very light silver. Nice to do a pretty cake once in a while :) And I really love wafer paper roses. Thanks for looking :)

Superheroes!
What is it about 4 year old boys and superheroes?! Another version of my very popular two tier superhero cake. A 7" chocolate square was airbrushed with a sunset and finished with an urban cityscape made with individually hand cut sugarpaste skyscrapers. It was topped with a 5" vanilla cube decorated to look like an apartment block, complete with a cat in one of the windows and a fire escape running from the roof. The superheroes were sculpted from sugarpaste too so this cake was 100% edible.
