This is the first time I've used fondant (Satin Ice) and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. The parents-to-be loved it so that was the important thing. Both cakes, icing & fillings were made from scratch. Bottom layer was chocolate fudge with hazelnut buttercream filling. Top layer was white chocolate with raspberry buttercream filling.

Halloween Kittens
I had so much fun making my first pumpkin and kitten yesterday, that I had to make another today....and throw in an extra kitten while I was at it. :) The pumpkin is two bundt cakes. The kittens are rice krispy treats. The kitten on the pumpkin has a skewer running from the tip of his tail, all the way through the pumpkin. It's all done in buttercream.

Patsy's Cake
Based on a Martha design from her new wedding cake book. All BC--this monster cake has totally convinced me that SPS is FABULOUS!!! I transported this with bottom 4 tiers already stacked over horrid Oklahoma country roads and the only thing I had to fix was one curly-Q at the top when we arrived at the gorgeous reception site.I loved doing all of this piping and this is now my favorite cake that I've done so far. This cake was accompanied by 400 red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing for the groom.

This was the cake I was intending to submit for the March of Dimes competition, last year but I didn't have it finished in time. The canopy is the fourth one I made, 1 I didn't like and two were broken. This cake was suppose to be a fruit cake but after it was made (8" round) it was too small. Days before it was due to be delivered I made a 10" round chocolate mud. Luckily for me it didn't matter as I was giving cake to my new God daughter!!

3Inch Wedding Cakes/bonbonaires
I had to make 100 of each (200 in total...300 butterflies arrrrrgh!) of these cakes for bonbonaires. orignally the bride wanted 2inch sq with mud cakes with one butterfly in the middle, then did the "bride thing" and changed her mind to 3inch, 95 mud, 95 white mud and 10 fruit cakes, two different designs and monograms. They were packaged in clear bonbonaire boxes.....what a pain to package but look really nice..thanks for looking
