My Fairy “Blossom Bloom” I made for Away with the Fairies Centrepiece. Blossom Bloom lives in the magical woodland. She can only be seen when the first flowers begin to blossom. She wears a dress with a taupe crocheted top and soft white broderie skirt. In her hair she wears a flower crown. She has silvery orange butterfly wings. She is all hand modeled, and made of saracino sugarpaste. The blossoms are made of gumpaste. She flew all the way from The Netherlands to Ireland. The moment I let her go, I missed her already, but happy to hear she arrived safe and sound, and settled herself high in tree of the woodland centrepiece. After that she was sold by auction for the wonderful charity Aoibheann’s Pink Tie “National Children’s Cancer Charity” in Ireland.
People with autism are strong in perception of details. They are strong in seeing minimal differences, but they have difficulties in linking these differences together. My piece is based on the detail perception by autism: I made a mosaic bird in different colours, on an abstract painted background. The top and bottom of the cake is decorated with Aquafaba stringwork and collar.

''on Aura Tout Vu'' - Fashion Like A Work Of Art
When Cake Central approched me and I saw the eccentric dress by On Aura Tout Vu I was very excited to get this honour! I was immediately attracted to the beautiful gems that were asymmetric placed on the model’s dress, and the colors on the skirt. I made flares with a shimmer on the bottom tier in different sizes and kept the middle tier with feather looked decorations. For the top tier and the center of the fowers I used Isomalt.
Merīkurisumasu メリークリスマス - This is my piece for Santa’s Passport, a fun Christmas collaboration. I chose Japan as my Christmas country for this collaboration. In Japan, Christmas in known as more of a time to spread happiness rather than a religious celebration. As Japan has many animated figurines, I decided to model what I think the cutest characters are. Here is the story: Petit Miku pulls the sleigh where Rilakkuma (lazy bear), Korilakkuma (mischivous bear) are sitting with presents for the children in Japan. Kiiroitori (the smart and hard working canary) sitting on a torri (bird abode) guids Petit Miku. The gingerbread Christmas tree is decorated with fondant origami kusudama’s. On the banner is written ‘’Merry Christmas’’ In Japanese. I am honoured to be a part of this lovely collaboration headed up by Heba, and I enjoyed every minute making this piece.

Her beautiful headdress is made with fondant and waferpaper and the hanging jewels (inspired by JT Cakes royal icing chains video https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=947788818619373&set=vb.100001647920495&type=2&theater ) are made with aquafaba icing (vegan icing) and painted with gold dust.

Dropstring & Sugarflowers
A technique I admire the most in cake decorating is the intricate work you can achieve with only Royal Icing, like stringwork, extensions, bridgework, making collar etc, etc… Well its like a dream comes true for a vegetarian like me, with Aquafaba. Aquafaba foams like egg wite, and holds its shape perfect. Just look at my dropstring… Holy chickpeas…….I love them!!!!
