Seven Dwarves Memorial Cake
This cake was made for a very special little boy who had recently joined the angels - his family asked me to make a cake for the celebration of his life, following his funeral. The brief was Disney, the colour blue, yellow stars and the seven dwarves (gulp!) and this is what I came up with. I also made a photo frame to go on top of the cake but left it off for the photos

Hello Kitty Cake
My client ordered 2 Hello Kitty cakes - One 8 " for the birthday girl and asked for a small matching cake for her younger sister (so she didn't feel left out - what a sweet grandad!). This is the little sister's cake Chocolate mud cake with chocolate buttercream and all decoration is fondant.

Wooden Cake
This cake was made for a friends colleague who was leaving to set up his own carpentry business, called 'I Got Wood' (isn't that a fabulous business name? lol). A 7" chocolate mud cake, hand painted with thinned down, brown food colouring. Each of the tools are made of tylosed fondant, so everything is edible (except the poles on the sign and the wire handle on the paint can.) I had a bit of a problem with the sign, in that the bottom plank broke as I was setting it into the cake - It's a REALLY good job that the subject matter was 'carpentry' so I could just bodge it back together and make it look like it was supposed to happen ;o)

Girlie Skull & Crossbones Cake
I made this cake for my friend's 10 year old daughter's birthday. The brief that I was given was to include a skull and crossbones and to make it 'girlie', so this is what I came up with! It's chocolate mud cake, with c hocolate buttercream, and all decorations were made with fondant

Luxury Cake Balls
I had a ridiculous amount of chocolate mud cake off cuts from a batch of orders I'd made for christmas, I mixed them up chocolate buttercream, rolled them into balls, chilled them then dipped them in melted milk chocolate and decorated them with melted white chocolate using a piping bag. I gave them as gifts to close friends and family for christmas - each of them absolutely LOVED them! Thanks for looking!

Ben 10 Omnitirix Cake
Made for a 5 year old little boy in my daughter's class at school. Having 2 very girlie girls I have absolutely NO experience with Ben 10, so I really had to research this one, though I'm assured that it worked out well! lol. It must have been good as I've had orders for at least 2 more of them!

Daddy Christmas
I made this for my best friend's little boy, to give to his daddy for christmas . The brief was 'make him look like daddy getting dressed up as santa!', which I think I did! I made the little glasses and the ear pieces of the beard (down the side of the cake) out of fine gauge wire. The tree is made using snowflake cutters and green fondant, I then threaded them onto a cocktail stick, with little pieces of icing to separate them slightly. I then used tylose glue to stick tiny silver ball dragees onto the branches. It's a chocolate mud cake, with chocolate orange buttercream. Covering and modelling are all in fondant. Thank you for looking!

Snow Fun!
"OK, so we've made a snow man, now lets roll some snow balls and have a snow ball fight!" I made this for my dad's friend, who ordered it as a gift for his 2 grandaughter's for christmas. It's a chocolate mud cake with chocolate buttercream. The covering and figures are all fondant icing and the 'snow' is luster-dusted to within an inch of it's life! Thanks for looking!

Tiara Cake
I was given the guidelines of 'Princess' when making this cake, so I came up with this! It's actually for a 5 year old, but I think it's also suitable for the more 'grown up' Princesses amongst us too! Tiara was made with pale grey fondant, formed around a cocoa tin and painted with 2 coats of edible metallic silver paint.

Joint 5Th Birthday Cake
When I had my eldest daughter I made good friends with some of the other mums-to-be. Our babies were all born within 2 weeks of each other and 5 years later we're all still close and each year we have a joint birthday party. This is the cake I made for it - each of the kids have their name on and by sheer fluke I was able to cut it so that each kid had the slice with their name on it!

High School Musical Cake
I made this for my eldest daughter's 5th birthday. I was up til 4am finishing this cake! I kept it as a surprise and told her that I'd made her a 'baby' cake, complete with teletubbies and other cbeebies characters - she was obviously disappointed but very gracious (bless her!). You should have seen her face when this was brought out!! Lol The more I look at this cake, the wonkier and bumpier the top tier is! Still... not bad for my 4th cake lol.

Ben & Harry's Christening Cake
This is one of my favourite cakes. I made it for the Christening of my 2 Godsons, Ben (5) and Harry (8 Weeks). Sadly Harry passed away at 10 weeks of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The train on the top was for Ben, who is absolutely train mad and the blue giraffe (AKA: Stumpy) was for Harry - his mum had a thing for giraffes, so I thought I made one in fondant for this cake (Unfortunately I didn't leave the body to dry out for long enough so the weight of his head squished his neck down, hence the nickname 'Stumpy' lol). The cake was chocolate mud cake (is there any other kind worth baking and eating?!) and the decorations were all in fondant.

2Nd Birthday Cake
This is a birthday cake for the 2 year old daughter of a client. It's chocolate mud cake and fondant, with a light sprinkling of lustre dust. Somehow the figure on top is my first figure and she somehow ended up looking like a 'Trumpton' figure (for those UK'ers old enough to remember lol)
