Purple & Pink Calla Lilly Wedding Cake
My latest wedding cake. 6" Fruit Cake, 8" & 10" Chocolate mud cake with chocolate buttercream and 12" Vanilla sponge cake with Madagascan Vanilla butter cream and Raspberry Jam. Ivory fondant, royal icing piped pearls and flower paste calla lillies. The ribbons are Cadbury's purple (although it looks blue in the photos...) and pink. The Calla Lillies are the first ones I have made and I'm sure I'll do a better job the next time I make them. A huge thanks to the fabulous Edna for her excellent You-tube tutorial. I learned a few lessons making this one: 1) It's not a good idea to try and make a 4 tier wedding cake during the school holidays - My kids are fabulous and I love them more than anything in the world, but they drive me nuts whilst I'm trying to work! 2) NEVER try to fondant cakes at 1am - it's dark and my kitchen lights are pretty but they're really good enough to allow for nocturnal icing. 3) Never leave the making of flowers until the day before they need to go on the cake - I have to accept that they're not going to dry properly when I'm completing them a nano-second before it's due out of the door! ;o)

Made for Princess Alexa, this cake is an 8", 6", 3" and 2 mini swiss rolls. Chocolate mud Cake with Chocolate Buttercream and Vanilla Sponge with Strawberry Jam and Madagascan Vanilla Buttercream. Everything is fondant, apart from the wires and silver dragee door handles and I finished with a light spray of pearl spray.

Tinkerbell Cake
I made this cake for my youngest daughter, Elsa's 3rd birthday. It's an 8" Lemon Sponge with Lemon Curd and Lemon Buttercream and a 6" Chocolate Mud Cake with Chocolate Buttercream. The Tink and bug figures are from a play set I bought at the Disney Store. The flowers are tylosed fondant and all of the accents are dusted with Starlight Lunar Lilac by Rainbow Dust and Frosty Holly by SugarFlair. I absolutely LOVED making this cake and seriously didn't want to cut into it!

Goal Keeper Cake
I made this for a friend's little boy who likes to be the goalkeeper! I totally forgot to put a football on (it was a ridiculously busy week), so I told him that as he was such a good goalie, the ball was obviously in play 'up-field' lol. I made the goalpost using a length of wire inside a 'sausage' of flower paste. I then sewed the (washed) net from a bag of satsumas to it and used royal icing to attach it to the cake. I wish I'd have had more time to do this - I'd have made the net much neater. The figure is made from tylosed fondant and is wearing the 'Wolverhampton Wanderers' strip.

This cake was made for a lady to give to her sister for her 50th Birthday. When my hubby delivered it he said that my customer actually cried! (which, as we all know is EXACTLY the reaction we all like best!) Lol. Chocolate mud cake, all decorations made with tylosed gumpaste

Teddy Bear Christening Cake
Another of my Teddy/Blocks Christening cakes! I get so many requests for this type of Christening cake - I've had to put a message on my website saying that I DO other types of Christening cake, it's just that this particular deisgn is VERY popular lol. Chocolate mud and Madeira and all decorations are fondant (except for the wire on the top teddy)
