5 tier wedding cake with a peacock theme. The bride and groom had some art work commissioned for their invitations etc, that consisted of blue, purple and pink flowers and peacock feathers. I had originally thought to use feathers in the floral display, but decided to go with a peacock themed cake lace instead. I have never stressed so much about one cake before and lost MANY night's sleep over it!

Every year, for my daughter's birthdays, I make a Disney Princess gown cake for them. This year, for Elsa it was 'Belle' from Beauty and the Beast. I went completely over the top with this and now I think it looks cluttered. Oh well, the birthday girl loved it and that's what matters ;)

The wedding cake I made last weekend. Those roses almost did me in! I made the petal paste (gum paste) myself, but rather stupidly didn't colour it as I made it, so I had to knead it in by hand and it was rather a stiff batch! The second and bottom tiers are patterned using a stencil and white royal icing. The 3 butterflies are to represent the couple's 3 beautiful children :)

This is one of the 2 cakes that I made for the Christening of twins Annie & Eliza. Their mum wanted fun and funky, still girly and I suggested that instead of one big cake, we should have 2 smaller cakes that were decorated differently, but complementing each other. The bottom tiers were 7" wide 5" deep and the top tiers were 5" wide.

I Was Asked To Make A Christening Cake For Twin Girls Annie And Eliza Mum Said That Didnt Want Pastel Pinks But Wanted Something Striking
I was asked to make a Christening cake for twin girls Annie and Eliza. Mum said that didn't want pastel pinks, but wanted something striking, bright and happy. Her original idea was to have one big cake, but I thought it would be much nicer to have 2 smaller cakes, decorated differently but complementing each other; an idea which she absolutely loved! Each cake is 7" (5" depth) & 5", vanilla sponge with madagascan vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam; and Chocolate mud cake with chocolate buttercream.

Triple Christening Cake
I made this cake for 3 children who were sharing their Christening day. Daisy is the eldest and likes all things pretty and pink, Lilly loves Minnie Mouse and the youngest is baby Finley who, as his mum put it, 'reminds me a bit of a tortoise'! lol. I really enjoyed coming up with this design and making this cake

Triple Christening Cake
Triple Christening Cake for siblings Daisy, Lilly & Finley. I *REALLY* enjoyed making this cake. Originally, mum (Tasha!) wanted a cake each for her gorgeous kids Christening, but I decided instead to make a 3 tier cake, with each child hav ing their own tier, to reflect their personalities. Daisy, the eldest is very girlie and loves anything pink - so I went for a 10" flower shaped chocolate mud cake, covered in daisies (of course!) and dainty pearls. Lilly loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse - so I went for an 8" vanilla sponge cake, to look like Minnie's dress (complete with frilly petticoat!) and bow. I did make a pair of minnie ears, but the black was too jarring against the softer colour pallete on the rest of the cake, so I made I decided to leave them off - I hope she didn't mind! Finley is a *Beautiful* new born and mum said that he reminded her sometimes of a little tortoise! lol. I went with it and made a cute little tortoise to go on top and covered his tier in little stars. Each child had their own name tag on their tier. I absolutely LOVED making this cake - it was lovely to blend 3 personalities into one design :)

Sleeping Beauty Cake
I made this for my eldest daughter, Faye as she wanted one like the Snow White cake I made for her younger sister, Elsa (in my photo gallery) Unfortunately this cake was really rushed - I would have liked to have spent longer, adding details to it (and the rose is too big), but she liked it and that's what matters!
