Food Cake Challenge
I participated in a cake collaboration using sugar art to make realistic looking food. Food had to be from the country you live in. I’m Canadian, so I chose some well loved Canadian favs...Bagels, French fries with gravy and poutine, Nanaimo bars and Butter tarts. All made from gumpaste.

Happy Valentine’S Day Cookies
I took a Valentine’s cookie decorating class with the talented Susan Trianos. The cookies on the top, some I made in class, some later on my own. The cookies on the bottom of the picture I made for a ladies get together at my church which got canceled due to a snow storm.

Torn With Love
Small Valentine’s cake for a early celebration this weekend. Wanted to try a new technique I’ve been playing with. I applied fondant resembling pieces of torn paper to the bottom tier cake dummy and cake board. Chocolate tulips and leaves were made using a tutorial from The Cake Blog. The giant heart box is made from a combo of modelling chocolate and fondant. Applied torn coloured pieces of wafer paper to the heart and the cake.
