Swiss Meringue Flowers
This is my first attempt at creating flowers out of Swiss Meringue Buttercream. I'm really surprised at how well they held up. I froze them as soon as I piped them, and that seemed to be the trick. I thought for sure they'd lose shape. Anyway, not too happy with the pic; the shadows make the cake look smudgy, but it actually turned out smooth in person. Ok, rambling; thanks for looking!

Heart And Rose Cupcakes
These came out really pretty in person, but the photo does not do it justice :( :( The hearts are red tinted white chocolate melts, and before I put them in the mold, I dusted it with red luster dust to give it a gleam. I still need to work on my rose making, but overall, the colors do well considering they are chocolate raspberry flavored cupcakes..

Poetry Book
I don't know why, but this book cake looked so much nicer live than it does in the photo. Oh well!! The camera picks up all the bad angles!! :( I did all of the fondant work, my husband painted on the front cover. The librarian who was the recipient of it thought it was a real book and went to pick it up by hand and put it away!!

Tree Stump
We saw this kind of cake on this site done by Franmjc from Australia, and really loved it so much we decided to do it for a party planning expo at our local mall. My husband did most of the work on it, since he happens to have most of the sculping abilities! Anyway, this is his version. This is one that went on the news station this morning!

Tiffany And Company
This is a dummy cake for a show we will be in this weekend. I used the Wilton fondant, and it always looks bad on styrofoam. (I can see every last wave and dimple!) Good thing I won't put it on a regular cake. Anyway, we created a stencil for the lettering and I painted it on the tag.

Albino Pumpkin Cascade Wedding Cake
We did this one for a show. It actually is real cake covered in fondant; not a dummy. I did the p umpkins and my husband did the figurines out of sculpey. We wanted to show options different than the usual round or square cakes. The stems and leaves are all gilded in the 24 carat luster dust. Gumpaste tendrils.

Basic White Fondant With Gumpaste Vanilla Orchids
This cake is one I did for the bridal show in 2 weeks, to show what one can do with a simple, white fondant cake. I have about 4 variations of this cake (all the same cake, just decorated differently). This one has gumpaste vanilla orchids I purchased from Pfeil and holding. You can see the other variations on my website, if you'd like :) :) :)

Behemoth Wedding Cake
This is a display cake that I've been working on. It's huge (I think serving about 400). I just now finished the top and final tier now, but couldn't wait to post it! (It still has to dry, which is why it is slightly darker than the other bow, and I still have paper towels holding the bow in place). Anyway, this is going to the bridal show Jan. 15th.
