Let Them Eat Cake Bridal Show
My first competition ever (Student Div). This cake was plan F to my original design. Like the look of this cake but nothing like the original. I wasn't sure of how to construct this. One tier (bottom) was to be real and the rest dummies. Because this wasn't my original design, I ended up not having enough flowers so I had to improvise. Of course everytime I looked at it, I saw one mistake after another. I must say I learned a lot doing this and I can't wait to do it again. Please honest comments.

Bingo Night Cake
Second of three due in three days. I was not happy with this one at all. One of the cakes broke in half and I didn't have time to finish th cake at home. I ended up having to pipe the border on after I delivered them. I really didn't like them, but everybody else did. I thought they were too plain.

Man's Baby Shower Cake
First of 3 cakes due one day apart of each other. Ordered for a man's baby shower (never heard of it). I got a call from the person who ordered it telling me that he cried when he saw the cake. You know my heart did a 360. WASC with whipped cream, cream cheese and fresh strawberry filling. Everything fondant on the cake. I was really happy with the outcome of this one. Inspired by many cakes here on CC. Honest opinions are welcome

Holiday Celebration Cakes
Two cakes I did on the same day, due at the exact same time. Yeah, that was fun. The red one is yellow cake with lemon curd filling covered in Swiss meringue buttercream and fondant, and the green one is West Indian black cake covered in marzipan and fondant. Yes, more bows. I gues you can tell one of the first things I learned to make.

80Th Birthday Cake
A birthday cake for a friend's mother. The party was a surprise and she had no idea. Although the cakes looks pretty simple, I had a very hard time making it, from mixing the flour for the 10" in the 14" ingredients, to the cake almost sliding off the tray on the ride to the party. I had to go back home, get my piping bag, and fix the mess. But, with all of that she loved it and so did everybody else. Fondant, Swiss buttercream.

Birthday Cake
I'm training at a bakery and this is one of their frequently requested standard designs for birthday cakes. I hope it's ok that I post it, but it's one of the first cakes that I did on my own and I was very proud of it. I know I have a long way to go. Covered in fondant, I can't remember what type of cake it was.
