Made this cake for my BF's mom; he wanted something similar to what I was making my mom and Granny... For the low low price of taking me out for a nice dinner ; ) 6" rounds, candy melt shells (mold used), coarse brown sugar and graham cracker crumb sand, fondant/gumpaste roses and leaves, RI lace. I have to say, I sort of like this one better than the one I made for my own mother...lol Special thanks to aleina for inspiration - can only hope to be as good as them with flowers oneday ; ) TFL!
Decided to make my mom and Granny a cake for Mom's day so we can eat after our pedi's we're getting ; ) 6" rounds, baker's chocolate and white chocolate combined to make chocolate curls (approx. 3-3.5" long), fondant/gumpaste roses and leaves, RI lace pieces. Took a few days and stages, but I like the way it turned out. Inspired by aleina's wonderful cake (if only my roses were as full as theirs - beautiful) TFL!

Large pyrex bowl + 8" round for ball cap, 3D Wilton ball for baseball. Covered in fondant, fondant/gumpaste brim, FBCT logo in front and back of hat.
This was a last minute cake order (therefore the toy duckies and "it's a boy" stick - I usually don't put things that aren't edible on my cakes). Just happened to have an extra cake frozen - Rainbow cake covered with cream cheese icing. Thanks to all the inspiration on CC for this cake : )
This one was a challenge. Attempted to replicate one that aine2 had done, but didn't really come close to hers, at least he's still recognizable. Red velvet cake (body) with cream cheese icing, RKT (legs, head) all covered in fondant (arms all fondant). TFL

I've made this cake a few times now, but this one is just a bit smaller than the 9x13's I've made in the past. This one I made from a 10" square cut to 8" on the side. Buttercream with fondant.
8" round covered in fondant and fondant/gumpaste flowers that are supposed to be hydrangeas... Side of cake was persistant to have a constant bubble so I did what I could and ended up having to "fix" the side with flowers. Oh well. Bow was a pain as well - too heavy for itself to stay put - ended up having to support with toothpicks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ; )

Had a request to combine Gizmo from "Gremlins" and gymnastics (favorites of bday girl) and he's what I came up with! Fondant ears, eyes, nose/mouth, hands, feet, ribbon stick and headband; and covered RKT ball. Used the 3D cuddly bear pan, carved a little - found it really good to have the core replaced with the same size RKT column. TFL!
I knew I was getting in over my head when I attempted this cake originally done by Cakegirljulie (her's is FABULOUS!), but I suppose it turned out alright. It's still edible. haha 12" round, mini wonder mould and cupcakes used, all fondant accents.
Chocolate cake with caramel filling. 7x10 oval covered in fondant with fondant accents. Bike supported with skewers and sign supported with lollypop sticks. Buttercream grass. TFL

Thanks to all CCers out there that did animal print cakes, it helped me out quite a bit! 8" and 10" rounds, carved sides, buttercream covered, fondant zebra stripes. I usually don't like putting things on my cakes that's not edible, but this was a rush order, and I like it!! ; )
FBCT horse. All buttercream. (chocolate cake and mom of bday girl wanted "not too much icing on top and sides b/c she's so close to her weight goal". I mentioned the cake would show through b/c it was chocolate...)

A customer of mine sent me a picture of this cake - I wish I knew who was my inspiration. I would like to thank them anyways. 10" square covered in buttercream with RI transfer and RI webs.
These are for my chiropractor's bday - just didn't want to make pieces of spine... He likes: baseball/softball; Saskatchewan Roughriders; playing the piano He met his wife when working as a lab tech (microscope with hearts) Fondant/gumpaste details; buttercream icing on chocolate & vanilla cupcakes.
The customer found a picture of this online, so I'm not sure who to thank...but it's all buttercream besides the handle (fondant) and the gingerbread men and snowflakes (sugar cookies). Oh, and of course, real marshmallows on top!
A big thanks out to SugaryGoodness for her inspiration and help with this cake. It was definitely a challenge, but I must say I'm okay with the way it turned out. Now hopefully it'll make the delivery! Fondant, buttercream underneath, RKT roots/legs, gumpaste tools.
