Cherry Blossom Branches
Argh! Yesterday was a bad day. I did the branch design on site when I set up, but forgot my sketch and the photo from the web I was attempting to duplicate. Had to do it freehand by memory so it's not quite what I had envisioned. I also thought the bride was having a monogram topper, so I left the branches on the sides only. My mistake, no topper. I would have loved to have continued the pattern up to the very top instead.

Madhatter Ballerina For Bat Mitzvah
This cake was cursed from the moment I took the order last year at 50% off the price I would usually charge. The customer was practically in tears begging for it to fit into her "budget", then I found out her venue was one of the most expensive hotels in the city! More fool me. I've said it before and I'll say it again...don't lower your prices. A server at the hotel ripped off one side of my fondant board after I asked him to please not attempt to move the cake. Grrr!!!! Glad this one is done.

Baby Shower Pastel Cupcakes On Spiral Stand
My friend found these cupcakes in a baby magazine. We used the colours and the non-pareils around each rim (the little white, round sprinkles). The top cupcake is marked with a gumpaste heart because that has the little chocolate gold coin in it for good luck. (I didn't bake it in because I thought it would melt, so I just cut a slit in the baked cupcake and slipped in in before I iced it!) The wooden stand was made as a Christmas gift last December from my awesome crafty dad. He's so clever!

Red Daisies & Chocolate Hearts Cupcake Tower
Gumpaste daisies and hand-piped chocolate hearts for vanilla/chocolate cupcakes. Top cake was a bit scary! I accidentally baked a 6" cake instead of a 5", so when I assembled the cake on the top...it is actually 1/2" too large all the way around. Thank goodness it has a fondant ribbon base so I didn't have to do a piped border! whoops!!!
