5 Tier Black And White Circle Graphics Wedding Cake
What a funky wedding! Everything was in black and white with circles...the menus, the vases, tables & linens. I do LOVE a theme! I was so excited when the bride asked for this cake. Apparently it was Ashton & Demi's wedding cake design last year. It is a design from a Chicago company called "Take the Cake", but I can't seem to locate their website to confirm that? The tiers are each 6.5" tall. It took 2 of us to fondant and smooth the 5 tiers of 4",6",8",10" and 12". 4 hours to decorate with circles!

Funky Granny Striped 90Th Birthday Cake
Firstly, I was completely inspired by the amazing original designer of the "Pink Whimsy" cake done by the company Sugar Creations. Unbelieveable!! I used the middle tier from that gorgeous cake and some of the design elements too. Basically, I was happy to use up all the scrap bits of coloured fondant I have and the tiny flowers/butterflies etc from other projects. My first bow using fondant instead of gumpaste. I don't prefer it. I like the quick-drying gumpaste better I think.

Bride & Groom Silhouette
The party's theme colours were white, red & black. I made my first 3D bride and groom using a chocolate mold, but both their heads broke off as I was getting it out!! Arrrrgh... With only one hour to go before they picked it up, I used my cookie cutters instead....and I actually like the silhouette feel of this design even better.

Air Canada Cake
I was very inspired by the amazing Airplane Cake at www.thecakefairy.co.uk so please let me recognize them for the design of this! Such a cool webiste and so creative. I used a 1/2 sheet of cake cut into thirds to creat this cake for 15 people at Air Canada for a birthday. The wings are cardboard cutouts covered in fondant (which I forgot to colour, so I dusted them with non-edible dusting powder in Royal Blue!) and the tail fins are gumpaste (also forgot to dye blue, so also dusted).

Playing Card Shower Favour
A client asked me for a cookie that was related to gambling, so here it is. I assume she is having a Casino stag and doe? Anyway, I cut these 2" x 3" (by hand, why can't I find any good rectangle cutter sets??), piped in white with a border to get the edges very pointed, her colours we used are burnt orange and chocolate brown. Used the #261 tip for names, as the cookies are so small!

Coyotes
These were done for a photographer whose company name is "Coyote Photo". I've never seen a real coyote, so I had to look them up on the web. I think I should have gone more grey?! Mine look like foxes! hahaha Anyway, all done in royal icing and the cameras are done in gumpaste painted with silver edible powder for the lens. Cutter is from "Off the Beaten Path" at www.cookiecutter.com

Antiqued White Cake With Vase Of Flowers & Monogram
We started this cake 2 weeks ago! Based on a Colette Peters cake. (Bride brought us the photo.) My partner Ana created the unbelievable pastillage vase with the flowers on top. It was about 7" in height and 1/4 the cost of the finished cake! I used the couples' monogram of the letter "B" to make a central plaque in gumpaste and small snowflakes around the base tier. Edible sugar pearls, fondant pearls and irridescent "Snowflake" powder galore! Cake was 4 huge tiers, each 6" height

Chocolate Snowflakes Cake
Martha's Italian Meringue buttercream (plus 6oz melted cooled choc & 3/4 cup of the darkest cocoa I could find & a squeeze of Americolor Chocolate Brown food colouring!!) The cake itself was 18" in height! Each tier was 6" tall. Bottom 2 tiers of Dark Chocolate cake filled with Milk Chocolate Buttercream, top tier of Banana cake with Milk Chocolate buttercream. I used the back of a spoon up the cake tiers to make the plastered look. Snowflakes at top are chocolate fondant dried 3 days.
