A very special cake made for my cousin Liam who turned "1" on Christmas Eve and for my MIL Annabelle Hermanson's whos birthday was on Christmas day. I brought winter to California with this 6" and 8" square cake designed with fondant and gumpaste for the bow.
Santa Clause face/head is an 8" red velvet cake and rice krispies for the hat peak covered in fondant (hat only). all the rest is in buttercream. Really fun cake to make as I was inspired by all the 3 tiered cakes with a penguin, polar bear, and santa face/heads.

3 layer 6" cakes all done in buttercream except for the chocolate handle and fondant numbers. I sprayed a little bit of Wilton's silver spray on the bottom to give the mug a frosty look.
these cupcakes turned out to taste AMAZING! Double chocolate cupcake and then a chocolate cream cheese frosting (Wilton Fudge Frosting mixed with cream cheese is DELICIOUS). Then for the skulls i traced with white chocolate onto parchment paper. TFL :)

From Karen and Alan Richardson's book "Cupcakes, cookies, & pies, oh my!" cupcakes are jumbo, standard, and mini. The "candles" are made from white chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles and fondant for the flames. These were so much fun to make!

for a 70th Birthday that didn't want a lot of fuss. Took the birthstone color of each family member and made them into a rose. All buttercream cake! TFL
This was such a fun cake for me to make! This is just an 8" cake decorated with a gumpaste crown which has pearls attached around the hearts. The butterflies were wrapped around a skewer and then a large straw then inserted in the cake (felt innovative on that lol). And the rest of the cake is decorated in buttercream with cornelli lace and stripes. The birthday girl and mom LOVED IT.
When a mom asked me to do a police car and fire truck themed birthday cake (originally 3d), I was confused! Wouldn't a Police man and Fire Fighter be easier!? LOL. not the case! this is a 6" & 8" stacked cake all done in fondant. This is an original design as I had very few photos to go off of for a combined theme like this. My husband and I worked on this together and we're very proud of this cake!
Made for my friend's birthday. I saw these in the "What's New Cupcakes!" book and I just had to try them! so much fun!

My friend LOVES James Bond and I just did a search online for some cakes and a LOT of them inspired me. The inside was red velvet and covered in fondant...all details are fondant as well. TFL :)
Thanks to a past cake i did and Jan14grands for the inspiration on this cake! Really wished i could've had a cleaner look on this cake, but 3 tiers in one of my least favorite colors I thought I did well. ( had some problem areas with the bc) all of the accessories are handmade from fondant.
My cousin has lived many places but most recently he spent the summer months in Alaska. We hadn't seen him in a while and it was a good excuse to make a cake! The continents were hand cut out from fondant and the water was all done in buttercream. TFL :)

This was a surprise wedding cake for my cousin who got married on Cocoa Beach, Florida. They didn't have a cake that day and then went on a cruise for their honeymoon. They LOVED it! Done with all buttercream and the daisies are gumpaste. TFL :)
Thanks to slean for the great idea on these cupcakes! I wanted to do blue for Wizard of Oz because these were for my gramma's birthday. After making a template I just used the Wilton Color Mist cans, very easy! TFL

this was my FIRST double stacked cake! I am very happy with the way it turned out! Everything is buttercream except the florals are silk. TFL :D
If you can't tell by the title and the cake what this is...I don't blame you! LOL. the dad thought of doing the sunglasses for the "Hollywood" part, I really couldn't think of anything else to do to get that in there. And a special thanks to Sugar/Craft for her wonderful YouTube video on how to make dolphins, that was fun! TFL!
