Elmo
Variation of Elmo cake I did a while ago (which was a variation of one found on the net!) 7" round on 10" square. BC. Blue on top tier is fondant. Accents are mostly fondant, some GP. Crayons are candy melts. Elmo is GP; after I took the picture I put more BC around Elmo's lower body to make it look like he was coming out of icing. Everything dusted with super pearl luster dust. Name in Funky tappits.

Lady Bug Cake
This is a copy of sthompson2k's fabulous cake!! 8" on 10". Name from funky tappits. Dashes made with edible marker.. Antennae have wires running through them to give them stability. Head is RCT.

Grand Canyon
First: many thanks to helipops for her help in answering my many questions on her Gauley River rafting cake and for forwarding me instructions - I am very grateful! 6" offset on a 10", Fondant over BC. I then painted the fondant and I am not real thrilled with how that came out, but the trees hide most of it. GP trees, rocks rafter, raft, tent, paddles. Water is layers of RI. Signs are not edible (got very lazy at the end). For a guy who's turning 40 & going rafting at the Grand Canyon to celebrate.

9" on 8" rounds carved to shape. Fondant painted with silver luster dust. Bottles are sugar. Labels are edible images. Jets logo is edible image on gum paste. Ice cubes are isomalt. Board covered in fondant & painted to look like wood. Beer bottle gave me a really hard time this time around - I think it was too humid!

Bow & ribbon are GP painted with silver highlighter dust. Flowers are GP (from GSA) Message plaque is edible image on GP, then painted with silver highlighter dust. Top present took on a nice lean when I put the lids & sides on it, but overall I was still pleased!

Vineyard Cake
Will I ever have a cake that does not cause me problems?? 16" 12" & 8". BC. GP grapes. Real flowers on top. To dowel I used tea straws and the dowels legs from the sps system (not the plate, just the dowels), 12" slightly sank on one side. DH did not notice until I pointed it out, but I was still disappointed. Was transported almost 3 hours to the wedding site - in the end I was just happy it was still standing!

Jeep Cake
Thanks to CC members HBcakes and bdrider for answering all my questions & sharing their instructions. This is a 12 x 18 and two 8" square cakes carved. The little details were a pain. Getting things symmetrical was a pain too! I wish it was a bit neater - I got very tired at the end! But I am glad I had the chance to make a car

Nature Lover
Based on a cake done by CCer Lynne. 7" on an 11", BC. Mountains are tip 124. Trees on sides are tip 18 & 352. Dirt bottom border is oreas, cocoa powder & graham crackers. Tree on top started with a hollow dowel, put an ice cream cone on top, then piped RI leaves & bark. Girl from Aine2's tutorials. Bear started with GP, then I followed Lynne's directions that she posted in the comments on her photo.

Abby Cadabby
Did you ever take a picture of a cake & not look at it until after the cake was delivered? WEll I did. And now I notice that one of the spirals in the back is shorter than the others. 8" on 12", large cupcake on top. Abby is hand molded gum paste and a total PAIN! Spirals are also GP. Cake is BC with fondant accents.

Steven's Communion Cake
Inspiration from SHogg's cake. 10" square. BC. Drape is fondant with impression mat. Cross is candy melts & GP. Cross are RI painted with super gold. Letters are JEM cutters painted with super gold. Vines & leaves are BC. Roses are GP from a mold. This was one of those cakes where I had a vision in my mind & everything I did to get the cake to look like the vision went wrong. In the end I am pleased, but it is so not what I had in mind.

Rotary Watch Cake
12" cake. Sugar Shack's box DVD helped a lot with the box assemby (box is fondant w/tylose). RCT used to build up part of cake where watch sits. Fondant draped over just the top of the cake. Watch is GP, face is an edible image. Face painted with gold highlighter. Bands painted with diluted brown gel color. Additional photo uploaded is the actual watch (hope that was OK to do!)

Give That Dog A Bone
OK - this is a cake for a dog. A first for me. All dog safe ingredients in the cake and the icing (carrots, peanut butter, yogurt, cream cheese, honey, baby chicken food, and a bit of bacon for good measure!) The biscuits around the cake are real dog bones. For a co-worker whose dog is turning one. If I wasn't so desperate to practice I would have laughed out loud when she made the request! I was actually happy with how smooth the icing came out even though I couldn't use the Viva method!!
