Dr. Seuss - Green Eggs And Ham
This was made for a co worker who's birthday was today and the theme in her room for the week was green eggs and ham. I attempted to make the characters out of royal icing but they wouldn' t dry so I tried chocolate transfers for the first time. I gotta thank the cc members who answered my post and especially to Michelle (newfyicing) for all her help - again! thanks for looking - we are proud of this cake!!!

Process, Not Product!!
I had been baking cakes all day yesterday, and I had a cake in the freezer that needed to be decorated and the inlaws were coming for supper so I iced the cake and let the kids decorate it. At first you could actually see the pictures on the cake they did, then they started experimenting with the different tips and voila a masterpiece. The whole time they kept saying we have to put this on cc! My son just caught me on here and insisted we display the work of art. Thanks for looking at a memory!!!

My Dh's Valentine Gift From Me!
I made these peanut butter cookies (his favorite!!!!) for valentines day and I had these empty peanut butter containers (don't you all keep things you think you might use at some time =) lol) so I decorated the containers, they were his favorite gift and were gone within 2 days!!! Thanks for looking

Tyler's Cake
The mom of Tyler called to invite me and my youngest to Tyler's birthday and threw in the old "and you'll make the cake right?" Meaning do it for free! Chocolate cake, buttercream icing and toy transportation. I would like to thank tdybear1978 for her "3" , and the other cc members for the inspiration. thanks for looking!!!

A Collaborated Effort!
Newfyicing and I worked on this cake tonight - she called and asked if I wanted to help her ( she knew I was going through caking withdrawl!) We think it is too cute and I think her friend will love it! We learned alot of what to do and what not to do for the next one. Iced in bc, fondant accents, white cake, oreo pudding filling. This was fun to do! Thanks for taking a peek!

First Real Customer And Scared...
this cake was passed off to me by my friend who is very talented, and very busy. I really hope the woman who ordered this will be happy. I didn't realize that when you color icing it darkens as it dries...she gave me a swatch of the color and I matched it completely, and yet this morning it is darker than what she wanted... such stress! I would like to thank sugarshack for her help, and I think with her guidance the bow turned out the best thing about the cake. crappy scroll, what is done, is done. tfl!

Cake For Work
chocolate cake, chocolate filling, buttercream. A co worker is considering me to do her wedding cake and wanted a sample of what I could do. I started fbtc -ing the logo of work, but it was too thick on the top of the cake so I scraped it off and threw this together quickly as I was tired and had to work in the morning. Thanks for looking!

First Attempt At A Castle
I would like to thank Pam_Hackett and all the cc members for all the great inspiration. I would like to give credit to my friend Michelle for coming over so early and helping me complete this cake, I had to spend 8 hours in emergency with my daughter during the time I had alloted to do this cake (she is ok in case you are wondering). Because of limited time, I couldn't get as creative as I'd wanted and getting it there was a nightmare. The turrets fell over, one of the roofs, etc, etc. tfl!

Ok, So They Are Fast And Easy
I was asked by my friend to make a cake for her birthday to bring into her work so they could taste buttercream icing(all the women have tasted is grocery store cakes). I made it quickly as the holiday season does not leave much time to do extra's. Butter pecan cake, filled with buttercream icing and fondant bow. You must excuse my first time ability to flub up pointsetta's. I will work on them by next year. Thanks for looking...sue

Yet Another Present Cake...
This was the second of two cakes I made yesterday for my kids classes. This one took a little longer to make than the first one, but it was because of the fondant bow. This cake is rainbow chip cake mix and buttercream icing - perfect for kids, and easy for me!!! Again, thanks for looking and merry Christmas/happy holidays!

Cupcake Christmas Tree
This is my first cupcake cake and I timed myself, it took 28 minutes to put together. It is for my son's class so I was not really too worried about detail, and I also had to make another cake for his sister's class. Had it been a paid cake, I would have put in more effort...of course! I used a LOT of buttercream icing to make it look that way! Chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. Thanks for looking

My Version Of Cake Balls
I followed the instructions as in the forum, but I found they were very soft in the middle, but taste delicious if they are cold! I made adult flavors with Bailey's hint of mint and chocolate, creme de cacao, and limoncello. I also made the multi sprinkle one for the kids that had vanilla caramel coffee flavoring. Easy and they look good!

My First Attempt At A Cookie Bouquet!
I LOVED making these!!!! The only problem as I was making them was thinking of the other millions of things I had to do -wrap presents, clean house, laundry etc, etc.. These were so easy and fun to make. For my first attempt, I think they turned out ok. Thank you to nicoles-a-tryin for her help, and all the cc members for looking and being so positive...sue

Little Tink
I made this cake for my daughter's friend who turned 16. It is just a little 6 inch but the hassles oh my! I had it resting on the bottom of a bowl so I could do the basket weave and as I was putting the final leaf on the top it toppled over and fell on the table with a smush...I had to take all the flowers off and scrap the icing off and start again. There are more leaves on the top than I wanted but I had to to cover up the oops. A big thanks to ccwtkg for the inspiration!!...sue

What Some People Want...
This is a cake that the person ordering wanted icing that tasted like the grocery store (thanks JanH!) and thought star trek or Detroit Lions theme was too baby and wanted balloons. Not really impressed so I don't think my heart was in this one. Just glad it is done! Thanks for looking...sue
