Vintage Lace Dome
A dear friend asked me to make him a cake for his family for Easter.... he specified that he wanted it to be all cream.. and the same as my usual style of blossoms, daisies, embossing..... well.... as I also have to make my sister's wedding cake in May.. I plan to do the top tier as a dome. SO.. I thought I would practice for her cake... and do this cake for my friend at the same time. I will use different molds for my sister's cake.. and am just waiting for them to arrive in the post! :-) I will also make the dome higher for her cake... but overall.. I am happy with this one.... The cupcakes in the collage were made for a separate order.. but they go nicely together.. so I added them to the collage!

I am really happy with it actually... and tomorrow I will give it as a present to someone! All dark chocolate mudcake inside. All edible... alll fondant..... I used a couple of skewers to help attach the spout & handle!

Cabbage Baptism Cake
And who says that you can't find babies in a cabbage patch? Was very happy to do this very fun cake for a Baptism! Such a change from traditonal baptism cakes! I used real cabbage leaves to emboss the fondant. Cake inside is 2 tiers.. Dirt around cabbage is crushed chocolate biscuits.
